Roy C. Stumph, 89, of Mesa, a retired high-school teacher and administrator, died Oct. 19, 1997. He was born in Bunkie, La., and was a member of the Lions Club. Survivors include his wife, Kathleen; daughters, Ruth Grisler and Mildred Tester; son, William R.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services 10:30 a.m. Friday, Brown Road Baptist Church, 6502 E. Brown Road, Mesa. Contributions: Gideon's International Superstition Camp, P.O. Box 6426, Mesa, AZ 85216. Mountain View Mortuary.
