1951 Fair Park High School String Orchestra

Esther Houston played the bass. Here in an excerpt from the yearbook: "The Fair Park String Orchestra has completed its second year. Each of its forty-seven members was chosen to play in the All-State Orchestra which performed at the meeting of the Louisiana Teachers' Association in Monroe. First and second year students are pictured here." Director was Carl Tolbert.
