    SHREVEPORT - Services will be conducted at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home, Hwy. 80 East, Bossier for Mr. Joseph Eugene Tate, 39, of Shreveport on Wednesday, September 21, 1988 at 4 p.m. Burial will be at Hill Crest Memorial Park.

    Mr. Tate was a native of Shreveport and a life long resident of the area. He was a veteran of Viet Nam Conflict and was the recipient of a purple heart and several other decorations.

    He is survived by his parents, William "Gene" and Mary Jo Tate of Haughton; two daughters, Nancy Elizabeth and Angie Tate, both of Bossier City; one son, Joey Tate of Bossier City; four sisters, Jeanette Tate of Shreveport, Evelyn T. Hopkins of Many, La., Mildren L. Cannon of Knoxville, Tenn. and Elizabeth "Beth" Newton of Bossier City; three brothers, William F. Tate of Fort Hood, Texas, Charles D. Tate of Haughton and Albert L. Tate of Las Vegas, Nevada.

    Sandra Kaye (Greer) Miller of Paris, Arkansas, died Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Ashton Place Health & Rehab Center in Barling, Arkansas. She was born on September 15, 1949, in Zwolle, Louisiana, to the late Waple Wendell Greer and Marie (Tidwell) Greer. She was 73 years old.

    Sandra was a loving Mother and Grandmother.

    She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Little and husband Gary of Lubbock, Texas, and Angie Allen and husband Rick of Lavaca, Arkansas; a son, Joey Tate of Los Angeles, California; two sisters, Sherry Strickland and husband George of Many, Louisiana, and Connie Shirley and husband Mike of Ringgold, Louisiana; five grandchildren, Emily Dev, Blaise Highfield, Katy Neal, Maty Little, and Trenton Goodson; and two great-grandchildren, Braxton Highfield and Joseph Neal.

    Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.

    "Mom, Your life was a blessing, Your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure. Love you always. Joey, Nancy and Angie."

    SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services for William Eugene "Gene" Tate,91 will be conducted at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home, Haughton, LA; Saturday, December 4, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. with Scott Teutsch officiating.

    Interment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park, with Military Rites conducted by the 12th. District, Dept. of LA, Veterans of Foreign Wars- HONOR GUARD. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 3, 2004 at the Hill Crest Funeral Home.

    Mr. Tate, born August 10, 1913 in Lake Creek, Texas, entered into rest December 1, 2004 at the Veterans Hospital in Shreveport. He was a devoted father and husband. Served in the U.S. Army during World War II, was City Marshall of Zwolle, in the 40's and retired from Sperry Rand Corp. in 1976.

    He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-two years, Mary Jo Tate and their son, Joseph E. Tate.

    Survivors include seven children, Jeanette Tate of Shreveport, LA; Evelyn Hopkins of Many, LA; Wiliam F. Tate and wife Hwang of Killeen, TX; Mildred Cannon of Van,TX; Charles Tate of Haughton, LA; Al Tate and wife Laurell of Haughton, LA; Beth Huddleston and husband Gerald of Bossier City, LA; Nephew, Pete Tusken and wife Janline, of Fort Worth,TX; and niece, Patty Tusken of Fort Worth,TX; twenty grandchildren, Rodney Hopkins, Lance Hopkins, Landon Hopkins, Nikki Hawkins, Joey Tate, Nancy Little, Angie Tate-Goodson, Damoris Tate-Keech, Searl Tate, Leann Adams, Lynnette Thompson, Clint Cannon, Justin Cannon, Misty Bourgeois, Joshua Tate, Emily Tate, Lori Tate, Stephenie Marze, Kyle Newton, Heather Bonnette, and sixteen great-grandchildren.

    The Tate family would like to express our deep appreciation to The Doctors, Nurses, and other care-givers at the VA Hospital. You took such wonderful care of our father during his last days.

    HAUGHTON, LA - Funeral services for Mary Jo Tate, 77, will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 20, 2004 at Christ the King Catholic Church, with Father Rigoberto Betancurt officiating.

    Interment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 19, 2004, with a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. at the Hill Crest Funeral Home.

    Mrs. Tate entered into rest February 17, 2004 at Willis-Knighton Bossier, after a long illness. She was a devoted mother and wife, retired from LA. Northwest State School and a resident of Haughton since 1968.

Tate and wife Hyun of Killeen, TX; Mildred Cannon of Van, TX; Charles Tate of Haughton, LA; Al Tate and wife Laurell of Haughton, LA; and Beth Newton of Bossier City, LA; two sisters Mildred Madison and husband Bill of Shreveport, LA; Cathy Gianfreida of Las Vegas, NV; three brothers, James Ebarb and wife Minnie; Mark Ebarb and wife Neice all of Las Vegas, NV; and Jack Ebarb of Ebarb, LA; eighteen grandchildren, Rodney Hopkins, Lance Hopkins, Landon Hopkins, Nikki Hawkins, Joey Tate, Nancy Little, Angie Tate, Damoris Keech, Searle Tate, Lynnette Thompson, Clint Cannon, Justin Cannon, Misty Bourgeois , Joshua Tate, Emily Tate, Lori Tate, Stephenie Newton, Kyle Newton, and fifteen great-grandchildren.
