Obituary:
Funeral services for Elmer Warren Peek Jr., 52 of Comfort, were held Sept. 13 in the chapel of Schaetter Funeral Home in Comfort with Rev. James Holt Jr. officiating. Interment was in the Comfort Cemetery. He died Sept. 11 in the Nix Memorial Hospital in San Antonio.
Born Oct. 14, 1929 in Katy, he married Lucy Frances Brown on Feb. 17, 1959 in Anderson. He was a farmer and rancher.
Survivors include his wife, Lucy Frances Peek of Comfort; four daughters, Mrs. Rusty "Terry" Weimer of Kerrville, Mrs. Max "Nancy" Below of Comfort, Mrs. Rick "Cynthia" Hawks of The Woodlands, Mrs. Dick "Penny" Casner of Lubbock; one son, Mark Peek of Comfort; his mother, Minnie Ruth Peek of Katy; mother-in-law, Mrs. Era Brown of Comfort; one brother, Albert Peek of Buchanan Dam; two sisters, Ada Sweeney of Stonewall and Ruth Dennison of Katy and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Gary Wayne Peek.
