    Don Louis Godeau, age 66 was called home to be with his heavenly Father on Thursday, June 27, 2002.

    Born July 25, 1935 in Eunice, Louisiana. He spent his boyhood in Port Arthur, Texas and graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in 1954.

    Don loved his career as a shipbuilder and for many years he managed Mangone Shipyard in Houston. Failing health forced his retirement earlier this year from Martin Gas Corp. for whom he worked in Corpus Christi, Texas.

    He and his wife, Jere recently moved to Brenham where they joined the fellowship of believers at the First Baptist Church. Don's love for the Lord was manifest through various ministries, including prison ministry and pastoring the First Bapt. Church of Ozona.

    In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by a daughter, Jodi Morrison and her husband, Victor, who are foreign missionaries. A step-daughter, JoBeth Zollman and her husband, Barry. His son, Randy Godeau and wife Karen of Friendswood, Texas. He is also survived by his sister, Ruby LeBlanc and her husband, T.J. of Port Arthur, Texas and six grandchildren whom he loved dearly.

    Visitation will begin Sunday 12:00 noon until 9:00 p.m. at the Memorial Oaks Funeral Home in Brenham, Texas. Services will be held Monday, July 1, 2002 at 12:00 noon in the Chapel, 1306 West Main St., Brenham, Texas 77833.

    Gifts of love in Don's memory may be made to the Foreign Missions Fund at First Baptist Church of Brenham, Texas, 303 N. Market St. or the charity of your choice.

    Willie B. Stanley, 81, of Port Acres died Wednesday June 20 at Beaumont Medical and Surgical Hospital. He was born to Clarence and Ethel Stanley on May 14, 1909 in Cameron Parish, La. He was preceded in death by his former wife Adise Stanley on Feb. 23, 1981. They have 4 surviving children, Helen Schindler of Clear Lake, Tx., Norma Hutchinson of Rancho Cucamonga, Ca. Kahty Lovoi of Beaumont and Mary Furtarl of Richland, North Carolina. He has 27 Grandchildren and 22 Great Grandchildren. Mr. Stanley was a retired Instructor from Texaco Inc. in Port Arthur and a member of First Baptist Church of Port Acres and Port Acres Masonic Lodge. His grandson Victor Morrison of Alberta Canada will conduct the services on Friday June 22 at 10:00 A.M. in the Chapel of the Pat A. Riley Funeral Home in Nederland. Burial will at Greenlawn Memorial Park. His pallbearers will be Teryy Stanley, Kevin Hutchinson, Gene Stanley, Grady Martel, Jr., Denny Lovio and George Hutchinson.

    Adise T. Stanley, 67, of 2515 62nd St., died at 10:35 a.m. Wednesday at Mid-Jefferson County Hospital.

    Mrs. Stanley, a native of Vinton, La., lived in Port Arthur 58 years. She was a member of the Little Flower of Jesus Catholic Church.

    A rosary will be held today at the Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home Chapel at 7:30 p.m. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Little Flower of Jesus Catholic Church with the Rev. Martin Bordages of St. James' Catholic Church officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

    Mrs. Stanley is survived by her husband, Willie B. Stanley of Port Arthur; three daughters, Kathy Lovoi of Beaumont, Norma Hutchinson of Fannett, and Helen Schindler of Columbus; eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild; one son, David Stanley of Silsbee; and three brothers, Eddie Talbot, Percy Talbot and Dudley Talbot, all of Port Arthur.
