On Friday in the early hours of May 1, 2020, Danny Clark Petty, a loving father of 3 children returned home to the LORD. Danny was born October 13, 1953 in Knox City, Texas to Elmer Roy Petty and Iva Dolores (Brothers) Petty. Danny was raised on the Patterson Ranch near Seymour, Texas from 1953 to 1967. His family moved to Fort Worth, Texas and Danny attended Southwest High School. Danny worked at Chapman Construction in Carrollton, Texas from age 19 to 25. In 1978, Danny moved to Crane, Texas to marry Lajean Ann Thomas. Danny worked in west Texas in oilfield construction from 1978 through 1981. In 1981, Danny and family moved to east Texas. In 1983, Danny began his own business. In 1984, Danny and family moved to San Antonio and later returned to Granbury, Texas. Danny moved to Cleburne, Texas in 2000. Danny continued to work in construction with his son, Danul, always by his side.

Danny is survived by his brother Randy Petty and wife Rosie Petty, beloved Great Dane Clopper and Kitty, Terri Pruitt, Lajean Ann Robinson and children: Danna Kay (Petty) Buck, grandchildren: Sierra Dawn Hensley Buck (19), James Danul Buck (12) of Penrose, Colorado, Danul Roy Petty and wife Dani Petty and grandson: Coal Danul Petty (12) of Cleburne, Texas.

Danny is preceded in death by his parents, Dolores and Roy Petty and step daughter, Amber Dawn Petty Cummings.

Danny Petty leaves behind many friends and neighbors who will miss his presence, his work ethic, his sense of humor, and the ability to go to him with anything without judgment. Danny, you will be greatly missed.

Elmer Roy Petty, 87, was called home by the Lord Friday, April 10, 2009.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Brown Trail Church of Christ. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home.

Roy was born in Oklahoma and proudly served our country in the infantry during World War II, with honors, earning a Purple Heart and two Bronze Stars. He married the love of his life, Dolores Brothers, on June 25, 1949, in Seymour. They were blessed with their two sons, Randy and Danny.

Roy lived his life with utmost integrity and respect for his Lord, his family and all people. He was a member of Brown Trail Church of Christ for 32 years.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Alvis, Jack, Cleo and Ben Petty.

Survivors: Wife, Dolores Petty; sons, Randy Petty and Rosie Villarreal, Danny Petty; daughters-in-law, Ann Thomas and Terri Pruitt; grandchildren, Amber Cummings, Rodney Sutton, Danna and James Buck, Danul and Amanda Petty, David Reyes and Lina Reyes; great-grandchildren, Sierra Hensley, James Buck, Coal Petty; brother, Truman Petty; sister, Ada Lee; brother-in-law, Royce and Marie Brothers.

Iva Dolores Petty, 83, went to her eternal home with our Lord on Saturday, April 18, 2015. Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Brown Trail Church of Christ, 1801 Brown Trail, Bedford. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park, Fort Worth. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Olivet. Dolores was born in Seymour and lived most of her life in Bedford. She lived her life with the utmost integrity and respect for our Lord, her family, and all people she came in contact with. Dolores was a beautiful person, inside and out. She was a member of the Brown Trail Church of Christ for over 38 years, where she felt very loved. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Elmer Roy Petty. Survivors: Sons, Danny Petty, Randy Roy Petty and wife, Rosie; grandchildren, Danna Buck and husband, James, Danul Petty, Lina Reyes, David Reyes III, and Rodney Sutton and wife, Mary; great-grandchildren, Sierra Hensley, James Buck and Coal Petty; brother, Royce Brothers and wife, Marie; sister-in-law, Ada Lee; and very special cousin, Joan Dawson-Rieger.
