    Sharon Devall, 52, of Lake Charles, LA died on Wednesday, August 26, 2009 in a local hospital.

    Born October 27, 1956, Sharon has lived all of her life in Lake Charles. Her special needs endeared her to all who knew and loved her.

    Sharon is survived by her father and step-mother, Earl Devall, Sr. and wife Joyce; mother, Frankie Hebert Moreau; brothers, Earl Devall, Jr. and wife Pat and Jay Moreau; and sister, Cammie Edmonds and husband Keith; step-brothers, Randall Israel and James Israel and wife Sheila; step-sister, Shelva Reed and husband Jimmie, all of Lake Charles; and several nieces and nephews.

    She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Hyman and Lucille Benoit Devall and Frank and Mathilda Johnese Hebert.

    Her funeral service will be 10:00 AM on Friday, August 28, 2009 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Brother Andrew Martin will officiate. Burial will follow in Pujol Cemetery in Big Lake, LA. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and continue on Friday from 8:00 AM until the start of the service.

    Captain Earl J. Devall, Sr., age 79, passed away Sunday, January 23, 2011, at a local hospital.

    He was born December 31, 1931, to Hyman and Lucille Benoit Devall in Big Lake and lived the majority of his life in Lake Charles. Proudly, he retired as a tug boat captain. Following that, he and his wife enjoyed travelling in their rv, cleaning and polishing it every chance he got. Mr. Devall was a true Christian man having belonged many years to the Grand Lake Faith Temple, often referring to them as his "family". A loving husband, father, and grandfather, he will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Preceding him in death was is parents, his daughter, Sharon Lucille Devall, and his siblings, Calvin Devall, Dozie Poole, and Della Vidrine.

    Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years, Joyce Ardoin Devall of Lake Charles; three sons, Earl Devall, Jr. and wife, Pat of Lake Charles, James Israel and wife, Sheila of Moss Bluff, and Randall Israel of Lake Charles; two daughters, Cammie Edmonds and husband, Keith of Lake Charles and Shelva Reed and husband, Jimmie of Lake Charles; a brother-in-law, Carl Ardoin and wife, Sylvia of Lake Charles; a sister-in-law, Gloria Gossett of Lake Charles; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and his beloved dog, JoJo.

    His funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, January 25, 2011, at Johnson Funeral Home. Brother Andrew Martin will officiate. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 24, from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. and again on Tuesday, January 25, from 8 a.m. until time of services. A prayer service will be held Monday evening at 6 p.m. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Brother Martin for his undying love, friendship, and support he has given to Earl and his family as well as to the church family for their unending prayers, love, and support. They would also like extend their gratitude to the staff at Landmark for their care give to Earl during his illness.

    Frankie Moreau, 81, of Lake Charles, La passed away peacefully in Lake Charles. She was preceded by her parents, Frank and Matilda Hebert and 1 daughter, Sharon Devall. She leaves behind 2 sons, 1 daughter, 1 daughter in law and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

    Frankie Moreau, 81, of Lake Charles, died peacefully on Sept. 23, 2018, in Lake Charles.

    Preceding Frankie in death are her parents, Frank and Matilda Hebert; and a daughter, Sharon Devall. She leaves behind three children, Earl Devall and wife Pat, Cammie Edmonds and Jay Moreau and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

    Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home. No formal services are planned.

    Funeral services for Mrs. Frank (Mathilda) Hebert, 81, of 210 Louie St. will be at 2 p.m. today, March 26, in Hixson Funeral Home Chapel.

    The Rev. Bill Oakley of Trinity Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Hebert Cemetery in Iowa.

    Mrs. Hebert died at 7:40 p.m. Thursday in a local nursing home.

    She was born in Hecker and had lived in Lake Charles most of her life. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. She was a member of the LeBleu family, Calcasieu's first settlers.

    Survivors are her husband; two sons, David and Herman Hebert, both of Lake Charles; three daughters, Mrs. L. C. (Nora) Smith of Vidalla, Ga., Mrs. C. D. (Ruby) Hagen of Ragley and Mrs. Aaron (Frankie) Moreau of Lake Charles; one sister, Mrs. Lily Leger of Oberlin; 20 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

    Rites Held Sunday For Mrs. Johnice

    Funeral services for Mrs. Adeline LeBleu Johnice, 74, who died Sunday night at her home, 1531 Cessford street, were held at St. Hubert's chapel on Nichols street at 10 o'clock Monday morning, with the Rev. George A. Bodin, assistant pastor of the Church of the Immaculate Conception, officiating. Burial was in the Chloe cemetery with the Hixson funeral home in charge.

    Mrs. Johnice was found dead at 6 a.m. Sunday, having expired in her sleep during the night.

    Survivors are her husband, Donloe Johnice, one son, John A. Johnice, Lake Charles, three daughters, Mrs. Frank Hebert and Mrs. Mel Peloquin, Lake Charles, and Mrs. Lillie Leger of Oberlin; two brothers, Arsan LeBleu and Volsan LeBleu, Lake Charles, and a sister, Mrs. Catherine Farque, Lake Charles.
