Obituary:

Samuel Fredrick Bumgardner, Jr., age 82 of Doddridge, AR, died Sunday, May 7, 2017 in an Atlanta, TX, hospital. Sam was born June 18, 1934 in Doddridge, AR.

He was a member of Fairland Holiness Church, Oak Grove Holiness Assembly and Pipefitters Local 237. He loved flying and totally rebuilt an Aeronca Chef in the '70's.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Baroniece Bumgardner and his first wife, Darlene Waldon Bumgardner.

He is survived by his wife, Jane Bumgardner of Doddridge, AR; one son, Sammy Bumgardner and wife, Elizabeth of Doddridge, AR; one daughter, Debbie Chamblee and husband, Terry of Doddridge, AR; one step-son, Jonathan Easley and wife, Corrie of Fouke, AR; one step-daughter, Amber Davis and husband, Wasey of Doddridge, AR; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at Oak Grove Holiness Assembly, Doddridge, AR, with the Rev. Joe Armbrister officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Doddridge, AR, under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home., Arkansas.

Visitation will be 6-8:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Oak Grove Holiness Assembly.
