Obituary:
SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services for John Earl Newberry, 69, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 25, 2012 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Brother Sonny DePrang and Dr. Tom Carleton. Interment will follow in the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Keithville. Visitation with the family will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Sunday, June 24, 2012 at the funeral home.
John was born on April 27, 1943 to James and Gloria Newberry and passed away on June 19, 2012. He was a life-long resident of Shreveport. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp.
He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by daughters, Ashley and Beth Newberry; grandchildren, Parker and Ella Tracy; siblings, Ron Newberry and wife, Judy, Carla Cook, Sheila Chavis and husband, Rodger; and numerous nieces and nephews.
