    Obituary:

Funeral services for Pete Edward Crnkovic, 91, will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Shreveport, Louisiana. Burial will follow at St. Ann's Cemetery in Stonewall, Louisiana. A visitation will be held Friday, October 14, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 6:15 p.m. in the Chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2500 Southside Drive, Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Father Patrick Madden. Officiating the interment will be Father Richard Morsworthy at 3:00 p.m. at St. Ann's Cemetery in Stonewall, Louisiana.

Pete was born on March 11, 1931 to Ed Slavko Crnkovic and Frazine Ebarb Crnkovic in Zwolle, Louisiana and passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 in Shreveport.

Pete graduated from Zwolle High School. He was married to Irene Cain Crnkovic for 50+ years and later married to Nell Alford Crnkovic. Pete served in the Air Force and was a Korean War Veteran. He worked as a Shreveport trolley driver. He was employed at the TJ Moss Crosstie Company and retired from the Finance Department at the United States Postal Service in Shreveport. Pete loved to fish, loved the Dallas Cowboys, the New Orleans Saints and the LSU Tigers. He was a great caregiver, had many friends (and no enemies that anyone could think of) and loved his brothers and sisters. Anytime the Crnkovic clan gathered in Zwolle for a family reunion, lots of childhood memories were re-lived and laughter could be heard all the way to Toledo Bend. Pete was gifted with the Crnkovic sense of humor, a quick wit and never missed an opportunity to share a joke. He loved growing a summer garden, tending to his muscadine vines which he turned into jelly, and he could make a mean pan of cornbread.

Pete is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Irene Cain Crnkovic; daughter, Laura Kaye Crnkovic Fontenot; second wife, Nell Alford Crnkovic; brothers, Steve Crnkovic, Johnny Crnkovic, Joseph Crnkovic, Frank Crnkovic; and sister, Helen Crnkovic Byers. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Deborah Crnkovic of Frierson, LA, Paul Crnkovic of Chateaugay, NY, Jeff Crnkovic and wife, Jeannie of Shreveport, LA, and Brian Crnkovic of Shreveport, LA; grandchildren, Gareth Ricketts, Brett Ricketts, Andrew Fontenot and Hannah Crnkovic; brothers, Wilburn "Mickey" Crnkovic and Donald Crnkovic; sisters, Josephine Crnkovic Jones and Lois Crnkovic Foltz.

Honoring Pete as pallbearers will be Gareth Ricketts, Brett Ricketts, Darren Hughes, Jack Hanson, Don Jones, Mike Jones, Rob Medlin and Kenny Grigsby. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Duane Crnkovic.

The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, please feel free to make a donation to the charity or church of your choice.
