Juanita Frances Keane, 73, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2014. Celebration of life: 2 p.m. Friday, Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst. Juanita, a native of Rison, Ark., was born May 18, 1940, to Walter and Ola Hughes Ingle. She graduated from SMU with a master's degree in business. During her career, she was employed in office management and human relations. Survivors: Her husband, John Keane; son, John Keane Jr. and wife, Karen; and brother, John Ingle.

SAREPTA, LA. - Services for Mrs. Evelyn Houston Keane, 70, of Sarepta, will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday September 2, at New Sarepta Baptist Church. Rev. Richard May will officiate. burial will be in Old Sarepta Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Mortuary of Springhill.
She died Tuesday, September 1, 1981 at Willis-Knighton Medical Center in Shreveport, La. Mrs. Keane, a native and lifetime resident of Sarepta, was a retired Head Nurse for International Paper Co., after 25 years service. She was a member of New Sarepta Baptist Church.
Mrs. Keane is survived by one son, John Edward "Eddie" Keane, Sr. of El Dorado, Ark.; three brothers, Charles Houston of Amarillo, Tex., Hollis Houston and Ned Houston of Sarepta; one grandson, John Edward Keane, Jr.; a number of nieces & nephews.

Dr. J.T. Houston, the eldest brother of Prof. G.O. Houston of this place, died at his home at Sarepta, La. on Thursday last, December 12. The deceased was 45 years of age, and leaves a family of six children. The doctor was well known in De Soto parish, having practiced his profession at Logansport for a number of years. On account of failing health, he moved back to his old home in Webster parish. The direct cause of his death was influenza. Peace to his ashes.

SAREPTA, April 18 (Special) - Funeral services for Mrs. Hattie Jane Houston, 82, were held today at the Sarepta Baptist Church. Burial was in the old Sarepta Cemetery.
Mrs. Houston died Wednesday at her home here after a lengthy illness.
Survivors are four sons, J. Hollis and E. L. Houston of Sarepta, C. C. Houston of Springhill and J. T. Houston of Long Beach, Calif.; two daughters, Miss L. Crawford and Mrs. Evelyn Kean of Sarepta; two sisters, Mrs. W. B. Smith of Springhill and Mrs. Walter Jones of San Angelo, Tex.; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
