    Obituary:

    Vera Hall, 84, died June 3, in Prairie City. She had been ill for the last 11 years.

    Memorial services are June 26.

    Mrs. Hall was born June 13, 1919, to Walter and Ethel E. Stoffer in Owatta, Kan.

    She worked for Monsanto Co. as a telephone operator until she retired in 1970. She moved to Oregon in 1974 and came to Grant County in 1980.

    Mrs. Hall was dedicated to the Seventh-day Adventist Church and loved to volunteer.

    She loved all animals, enjoyed camping, gardening, sewing, knitting and needlepoint. She loved to help people.

    Survivors include two sons, Charles Van Stone of West Virginia, and Bill Files of Reedsport; one daughter, Vicki Waters of John Day; and six grandchildren.

    LaFollette's Chapel was in charge of arrangements
