    Mark Gregory Ramboz passed away suddenly October 6, 2017, at the age of 58, doing what he loved. Mark was born August 15, 1959, in Loma Linda, California.

    He lived in Utah, for 38 years. He worked as a service manager for Cutrubus Volkswagen-Audi in Layton. He was a mentor, teacher, and a great friend to many! He recently moved to Indiana, where he worked for UPS. Mark loved being with his family, hunting, and fishing.

    Mark is survived by his wife, Jill; four children: Adam, Sasha, Trevor, and Kiera; six grandchildren; three brothers; and his father.

    Mark's selfless acts of kindness touched everyone who knew him. He will be missed dearly.

    Betty Jo Hood Ramboz, age 77, passed away peacefully in her home in Parowan, Utah on February 8, 2013 after a long battle with illness.

    Betty was born in Madill, Okalahoma on January 3, 1936 to William Elzie Hood and Mackie Jewell Crow. Betty was the middle of three girls in her family with sisters Ila Fay and Geraldine.

    In 1942 her family moved to San Bernardino, California where she attended school and was introduced to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints by life-long friends Doris LeBaron (Christiansen) and Gary Christiansen. Betty was baptized by Gary in April 1955. She graduated from Redlands High School in June 1955 and then attended Brigham Young University for a short time before marrying John David Ramboz on December 17, 1956. They had four sons: John Michael (Sharon), Mark Gregory (Jill), Steven Scott (Carolyn), and Bryan David (Whitney). In 1968 the family moved to Rockville, Maryland. Betty and John divorced in 1975 and Betty, along with Mark, Steven, and Bryan moved to Cedar City, Utah in 1977 (son Michel had joined the Navy). A short time later Betty built a home and moved to Parowan, Utah where she made many dear and close friends.

    Betty worked hard as a single mother raising four boys, working as a cafeteria lady at Parowan Elementary School, in the bakery at Alpha Beta, a cook at the Parowan Café , and a seamstress at a local sewing company, Visors by Lynn, for many years, and a quilter at Hurst Store in Cedar City. Betty also quilted from home for the last few years of her life.

    Betty remained active in the LDS church her entire life serving in many positions and callings over the years. She also served a full-time mission in the North Carolina Raleigh Mission in 1995.

    Betty is survived by her sister Geraldine, her four sons, 13 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister Ila Fay.

    Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 12 at 11:00 a.m. at the Parowan 4th Ward Chapel located at 90 South Main in Parowan, Utah. A viewing will take place starting at 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. at the church. Graveside services will be held immediately after at the Parowan Cemetery all under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.

    Obituary:

    Mrs. Jewell M. Hood, 54, of 24946 Davidson St., San Bernardino, died Monday at a Loma Linda hospital. She had lived in San Bernardino and California 25 years.

    A native of Missouri, she was a member of the Church of Christ and the Rebekah Lodge.

    She is survived by her husband, William E. of San Bernardino; three daughters, Mrs. Ila Fay Meyers of Sacramento; Mrs. Betty Jo Ramboz of Pomona and Mrs. Geraldine G. Kramer of Los Angeles; two brothers, James Crow of Richland, Wash., and Paul Crow of Lebanon, Okla.; and five grandchildren.

    Services will be held at 3 p.m. today at the Emmerson Valley Mortuary Chapel in Loma Linda. William F. Lee, minister of the Church of Christ, will officiate. Interment will be in Montecito Memorial Park.

    The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
