Obituary:

Rochester - Geneva Patterson Ball, 80, of Andrews, TX, formerly of Jal, NM, passed away Friday, May 18, 2007 in Odessa.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at 10:00 am, at Smith Funeral Home in Rochester with Paul Chambers officiating. Burial will follow in Rochester Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Rochester. A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.

Geneva was born March 24, 1927 in Rochester, Texas, the daughter of the late Lewis J. Hester and Cleve Carrie Carmack Hester.

She was preceded in death by: her husband of 40 years, A. J. Patterson, and husband of 11 years Bill Ball.

She is survived by: son, Michael Patterson and wife Nadine of Kingwood, TX; daughter, Janice Holsey and husband, Ron of Andrews; granddaughter, Brandi Lewis and husband, Tim of Chandler, AZ; grandson, Paul Patterson of Kingwood, TX; great grandchildren, Alyssa and Tyler Lewis of Chandler, AZ; sisters, Ann Stephens and husband, Wyndoll of Katy, TX., and Peggy Cline and husband, Steve of Plano, TX.
