    It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Fairlee "Lee" Yelton, of San Antonio, Texas, who passed away peacefully on February 22, 2023, at the age of 88. Lee was born on September 8, 1934, in Del Rio, Texas to Hazel Hopkins and Walter Montgomery Terrell.

    Lee's friends and family will remember her as a dedicated nurse with a warm heart and generous spirit who spent her life caring for others. She was a devoted Christian woman whose faith guided all that she did. She was a proud member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church and The Daughters of the King. Lee was generous, had a light-hearted sense of humor and was always willing to lend support to those in need.

    She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Otto Arthur Yelton, III; and sisters, Florence Hazel Yelton and Beatrice Stanmire. Lee is survived by her daughters, Tracy Hurley (Robert Hurley) and Kimberly Yelton; grandchildren, Kelley and Courtney Hurley; niece, Joanna Stanmire Guernsey; as well as other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.

    In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Mark's Episcopal Memorial Fund in memory of Lee Yelton.

    GALVESTON - Lily Choate Schott died on Tuesday, April 8, 2003, at the age of 91.

    She was born in Lafayette, Louisiana, on July 15, 1911, grew up in Port Arthur, Texas, and moved to Galveston in 1936. Her life was devoted to being a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved people and never said an unkind word about others. For 21 years she worked on the Physicians and Nurses Registry.

    She was preceded in death by her husband Roy P. Choate in 1965, husband Lester E. Schott in 1996 and son Otto Yelton in 2000.

    Survivors include: Barbara Gaddis and husband Bob, of Fort Worth, Patsy Mount and husband Jerry, Albert Choate and wife Janet, Mildren Zorn and husband Raymond, all of Galveston, and James Schott and wife Sharon, of Texas City. Lily had 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

    Visitation will be held on Monday, April 21, 2003, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at J. Levy & Bro. Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2003, at 10 a.m. at the First Lutheran Church, with Reverend Douglas Gauthier officiating. Lily has requested cremation.

    Funeral services were held today at non in St. James Catholic church for Albert LeBlanc, 82, of 3803 Seventh street, who died Thursday at 7:40 p.m. in St. Mary's hospital, where he had been a patient since Nov. 6.

    Burial was in Greenlawn Memorial park by the Grammier-Oberle Funeral home with C.B. Rogers, H.H. Salter, J.R. Hutson, F.E. Gardner, Albert Choate and J.E. Bos as pallbearers.

    Mr. LeBlanc was a native of Lafayette, La., and had been a Port Arthur resident 57 years. A retired building contractor and the oldest living member of Carpenters Local 610 prior to his death, Mr. LeBlanc was a member of St. James Catholic church.

    Funeral services for Mrs. Carlotta M. LeBlanc, 88, of 3620 7th St., are set for 10 a.m. Thursday in St. James Catholic Church. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. A rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Wednesday in Clayton-Thompson Funeral Home Chapel.

    Mrs. LeBlanc, a native of Carencro, La., and resident of Port Arthur since 1910, died at 8:10 a.m. Wednesday in Cresthaven Nursing Home in Groves following a short illness. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church.

    Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. J.R. Hatfield of Port Arthur and Mrs. L.E. Schott of Galveston; five grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

    Pallbearers will be O.A. Yelton, Albert Choate, Lester Schott, C.B. Rogers, John Bos and C.A. LeCoq.
