    FORD - In Santa Cruz, California on May 21, 1988, Mr. Melvin E. Ford. Survived by his wife, Olivia Ford of Santa Cruz; daughters, Janet Ford Read of Santa Cruz and Linda Ford of Capitola; sons, Tony Ford of Capitola and John Ford of Oregon also survived by seven grandchildren, three aunts and several cousins. A native of Vallejo, California, aged 67 years. A veteran of W.W. II, U.S. Airforce.

    Services will be conducted at Norman's Family Chapel (Gary Benito, Director) 3620 Soquel Dr., Soquel, California, Thursday May 26, 1988 beginning at 1:00 p.m. with Fr. Gary Byrne of St. Josephs Catholic Church officiating. Interment in Oakwood Memorial Park, Santa Cruz, California. Contributions to American Diabetes Association, 610 Frederick St., Santa Cruz, California, 95062. preferred.

Survived by her daughters, Linda Ford and Janet Ford Read, both of Santa Cruz; son, Anthony Ford of Santa Cruz; brother, Anthony Mimosa of Campbell. Also survived by seven grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Ford, earlier this year. A native of Rodeo, aged 61 years. Member of Star of the Sea Church.

    Catholic Blessing Services will be conducted at Norman's Family Chapel (Gary Benito, Director), 3620 Soquel Dr., Soquel, on Friday, December 16, 1988 beginning at 12:00 noon. The Holy Rosary was recited at Norman's Family Chapel Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m. Interment in Oakwood Memorial Park, Paul Sweet Road, Santa Cruz. Contributions preferred to Paget's Disease Foundation, 165 Cadman Plaza East, Brooklyn, N.Y. 11201.

    Ernest P. Ford Rites Wednesday

    Services will be Wednesday in Vallejo for Ernest P. Ford, 86, who died Friday in a local convalescent hospital.

    A native of Greenfield, Texas, he had lived in Vallejo most of his life, where he was a self-employed barber for more than 50 years. He moved to Anchor Bay upon retirement and came to Santa Cruz four years ago.

    An Army veteran of World War 1, he was a member of American Legion 104; Moose Lodge; Last Man's Club, all in Vallejo.

    Survivors include his wife, Irene; a son and daughter-in-law, Melvin and Olivia Ford, all of Santa Cruz; three sisters, Nora Fewell, Floy Morrison and Virgie Sims, and a brother, Tom Woody, all of Texas; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

    Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Vallejo at the Wiggins Funeral Home, 524 Capitol St.

    Interment will be at the Sunrise Cemetery in Vallejo.
