KENNETH RAY GREEN of Houston passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2009, at the age of 66. He proudly served in the US Army from 1963 to 1967. He is survived by his daughter, Becky Sherwood & husband Jim of Arizona; son, Troy Green & wife Sarah of Arizona; sisters, Betty Jo Ray of Katy, TX, and Jo Ann Jackson & husband Tom of San Leon, TX; brother, Thomas Woodrow "Andy" Green of Tecumseh, OK; and numerous other loving family members and friends. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2009, at the Schmidt Funeral Home Chapel, in Katy, with Rev. Paul Cockrell officiating. A committal service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 15, 2009, at Houston National Cemetery, with Rev. Paul Cockrell officiating. OLNEY - Services for Francis Blanton Elkins, 67, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church of Olney with the Rev. Dick Turner officiating.

Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery in Olney.

Mr. Elkins died Friday in Olney.

He was born July 8, 1916, in Palo Pinto Co. He married Lula Doggett in 1955 in Lovington, N.M.

Mr. Elkins was an Army veteran of World War II and the maintenance supervisor of the Olney Housing Authority.

Survivors other than his wife include two daughters, Helen Orren of Odessa and Francis Green of Prescott, Ariz.; a brother, Tony Elkins of Spur; a sister, Minnie Brown of Olney; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Lunn Funeral Home of Olney is in charge of arrangements.

PRESCOTT, Ariz. - Thadine M. Brammer, 79, of Prescott, Ariz., died Sunday, Aug. 30, 1998.

Services were held Monday at Memory Chapel Mortuary. Arrangements by Memory Chapel Mortuary.

She was born in Mae and moved to Arizona 42 years ago. She was a Women's Army Corps veteran of World War II. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

SURVIVORS: Daughters, France Green of Chino Valley, Ariz., and Helen Orren of Odessa; sisters, Barbara Mazza of Las Vegas and Dorothy Williams of Yuma, Ariz.; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

GORMAN (RNS) - James Elmer Ford, 77, of Sealy, died at 2 a.m. Wednesday at the Sealy Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Gorman Church of Christ.

Audie Moore of Eastland will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery near here, directed by Higginbotham Funeral Home.

Born Aug. 23, 1897, in Comanche County, he was raised in Gorman and attended public schools here. Mr. Ford was a retired carpenter and a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors are five daughters, Mrs. William Bramer of Cottonwood, Ariz., Mrs. Pete Mazza of Las Vegas, Nev., Mrs. Buck Williams of Yuma, Ariz., Mrs. Ben Keith of Andrews and Mrs. Byrch Telford of Roswell, N. M.; one son, Joe French of Denver, Colo.; three sisters, Mrs. Virgie Sims of Odessa, Mrs. Floy Morrison of Gorman and Mrs. Nora Fewell of Sealy; and two brothers, E. P. Ford of Gualala, Calif., and Tommy Woody of Katy.

He was preceded in death by his wife and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Pinkney Ford of Gorman.

Rachel Nedley Is Dead at 68

Rachel Nedley, 68, of 1636 South Ave., a resident of Missoula since 1961, died Tuesday in a local hospital.

She was born July 30, 1899, in Texas. She came to Missoula in 1961 from Gardiner.

Survivors besides the widower, Loran Nedley, include three daughters, Mrs. William Bremer and Mrs. Dorothy Williams, both of Yuma, Ariz., and Mrs. Lamar Mezza of Las Vegas, Nev.; four sisters, Mrs. Irene Zumwalt of Gardiner, Mrs. Inez Hines and Mrs. Mary Putty of Lubbock, Tex., and Mrs. Clara Dickinson of Austin, Tex.; her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Stewart of Lubbock; five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements are pending at Squire-Simmons-Carr Mortuary.

Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday in the Squire-Simmons-Carr Rose Chapel. Burial will be in Missoula Cemetery.
