    Jimmy George Vanover, age 75, of Odessa, TX passed from this life on Wednesday, January 24, 2018. He was born in Borger, TX on February 22, 1942 to the late George and Lucille Vanover. Jimmy was an avid golfer.

    Those left to cherish his love and memories are his beloved wife: Patricia Vanover; daughter: Belle McCallum Fletcher; grandchildren: Carol Jean Collins, Lauren Viscaino and husband Jacob, Ashton McKinney and Trina McCallum and great-grandchildren: Maeson Viscaino, Skyelyn Cooper, Aylea Eades and Lila Pughman; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

    He was preceded in death by his parents; son: Jimmy George Vanover Jr.; brother: "Pickle" Vanover and grandchild: DJ.

    Family visitation will be held from 5-7:00 pm, Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Acres West Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, January 26, 2018 at Acres West Funeral Chapel officiated by Pastor Jackie Brem. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.

    Susan V. Davis, 71, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2015, in Marlin, Texas. Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 23, at Grace Lutheran Church, in Marlin, with the Rev. Kurt Rutz officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home.

    Susan was born August 1, 1943 in Midland, to H. and Chris (Baker) Hamlin. She was a longtime resident of Marlin and a member of Grace Lutheran Church. Susan was a 3rd generation from Midland. She married Leslie Davis on August 2, 1994 in Las Vegas, Nevada where they owned a commercial landscaping company together. They retired in 1995 to Marlin, Texas where Susan was president of the Garden Club, Music Club and the Falls County Hospital Auxiliary.

    She was preceded in death by one son; her parents; and grandparents.

    Susan leaves behind her husband of 20 years, Leslie Davis of Marlin; brother, Dwayne Hamlin and wife, Becky, of Odessa; and numerous nieces and nephews.

    MIDLAND (Staff) - Services for Martha Hamlin, 89, of Midland, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Tennessee and A Streets Church of Christ with burial in the Resthaven Memorial Park directed by Newnie W. Ellis Funeral Home.

    Mrs. Hamlin died late Monday at her residence following a one-week illness.

    Mrs. Hamlin, who was born July 7, 1884, in Comanche County, married R. D. Hamlin in 1902. They moved to Midland in 1924 from Lamesa. He died in 1962.

    Mrs. Hamlin was a member of the Church of Christ.

    Survivors include four sons, Harry Hamlin and H. H. Hamlin, both of Midland, O. C. Hamlin of Amarillo and R. D. Hamlin of Lakewood, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. P. P. McGee of Colorado City and Mrs. W. O. Vessel of Midland; a sister, Mrs. Joe Winters of Merkel; 19 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren.
