HAMLIN - Maurice Michael
1956-2006

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Maurice on November 18, 2006. He is survived by his loving wife of twenty-nine years, Sheila; as well as his sons, Jesse and Michael; his mother Gwendoline Hamlin; grandmother Edith Beliveau; and uncle Wesley Beliveau; as well as uncles and cousins in Texas, and uncles, aunts, and cousins across Canada. Maurice was predeceased by his father Robert Hamlin and grandfather Emillian Beliveau. For twenty-one years, Maurice had a long and successful career with AGT/Telus. He will be remembered for his strong love of his family and courage, while facing a lengthy illness. His spirit now soars with the eagles. HAMLIN - Robert W. Hamlin, born May 22, 1937 in Midland, Texas. After a courageous battle, he went to meet his Lord on Sunday, March 3, 1996. He leaves to mourn, his wife and friend Gwen; son Maurice and his wife Sheila; his two precious grandsons, Jesse and Michael; Zada Hamlin (mother) in Amarillo, Texas; his brothers and sisters, Joy, Clinton, Edie-Mae, Douglas and his wife Margie, and their families; uncles, aunts and cousins in the U.S.A.; his parents-in-law, Charlie and Edith Beliveau; and brother-in-law Wes Beliveau. He was predeceased by his father O.C. Hamlin. Robert came to Canada in 1953 with a reproduction and printing company, continuing in this line of work for over forty years. His greatest joy in life was camping with his family and friends, dancing, hockey games with family, and being a Round dance instructor and Square dance caller. Quiet spoken but always ready to give a helping hand, and as problems arose would just quietly "take care of it". He will be sadly missed by all his relatives and dear friends that he has made over the years. HAMLIN, Gwendolyn "Gwen" Rachel
April 7, 1938 - April 4, 2009

Gwen Hamlin, beloved wife of the late Robert Hamlin, passed away at the Rosedale Hospice after a lengthy battle with illness at the age of 70 years. Gwen and Robert were actively involved in square dancing, and they met good friends with their involvement with this community. Gwen was an employee at the Foothills Medical Centre for twenty three years prior to her retirement. She was a great cook and loved to entertain guests. She also enjoyed visits to Hawaii, and camping with family and friends. Gwen was a loving daughter, mother, sister and grandmother; she will be remembered for her strong love of her family and courage, while facing her declining health. Gwen is survived by her mother, Edith Beliveau; brother, Wesley; daughter-in-law, Sheila; beloved grandsons, Jesse and Michael; as well as Ronald (Gertie) Stinson; Sandra (Robert) Thrall; Alice Vermette; Raymond (Jolayne) Vermette; Al (Madeline) Yaworski, and Douglas (Margie) Hamlin. She was predeceased by her husband Robert Hamlin, her only son Maurice, and her father Emilien Beliveau. Special thanks to her many caregivers at the Foothills Medical Centre and Rosedale Hospice. MIDLAND (Staff) - Services for Martha Hamlin, 89, of Midland, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Tennessee and A Streets Church of Christ with burial in the Resthaven Memorial Park directed by Newnie W. Ellis Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hamlin died late Monday at her residence following a one-week illness.

Mrs. Hamlin, who was born July 7, 1884, in Comanche County, married R. D. Hamlin in 1902. They moved to Midland in 1924 from Lamesa. He died in 1962.

Mrs. Hamlin was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include four sons, Harry Hamlin and H. H. Hamlin, both of Midland, O. C. Hamlin of Amarillo and R. D. Hamlin of Lakewood, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. P. P. McGee of Colorado City and Mrs. W. O. Vessel of Midland; a sister, Mrs. Joe Winters of Merkel; 19 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren.
