    Obituary:

Laurell Lynn Michaels Tate, a beloved child of Christ, was called to her heavenly home on August 24, 2021.

She was born in Buffalo, New York on July 1, 1957 to Lorraine Helen Mueller Michaels and the late William Edward Michaels. She was the granddaughter of the late Lorraine Anne Mueller. Laurell was the beloved wife of Albert Lee Tate for 35 years. She was the most loving and caring mother to Emily Rachelle Darlington and Lori Angeline Tate. Laurell was so happy to be a "G" to Makenah Treann Procell. She was the sister to William Mark Michaels, Gary Edward Michaels, Terri Lyn Wells and Jeffrey David Michaels.

Laurell lived and walked every day with grace and strength. She brought so much kindness and light to this world. She was compassionate and caring to everyone she met, her laugh was absolutely contagious and her smile radiant. Spending time with the ones she loved brought her so much joy in life. Gardening was her passion, watching her hummingbirds brought light to her eyes and loving on her cats made her happy.

In lieu of flowers you can make your donations to Port City Cat Rescue or one of your local animal rescues or shelters.

Family and Friends are welcome to honor Laurell at her Celebration of Life Visitation on Saturday, August 28th, 2021 at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home, from 5-8pm with a time of sharing at 5:30pm with Bro. Don. Located at 601 US Hwy 80 East, Haughton, LA 71037.

The family requests that you come as you are, in cheerful attire.

Respectively, due to Covid-19 social distancing, when possible, and masks are highly encouraged at the service.
