Funeral services for Nason Hardy, 70, will be at 10 a.m. today, Dec. 29, in Hixson-Guardian Chapel.
The Rev. Marshall Boulet will officiate. Burial will be in Green Lawn Cemetery in Kinder.
Visitation is from 8 a.m. today.
Mr. Hardy died at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday in a local hospital.
A native of the Lacassine/ Welsh area, he had lived in Lake Charles 23 years. He was a retired offshore motorman and was a former state policeman for Troop D. A member of the Second Cavalry during World War II, he served in the South Pacific where he earned four Bronze Stars. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2130.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Edythe L. Hardy; two stepsons, Mike Garcille and Syd Broussard, both of Lake Charles; one brother, Lee Hardy of Welsh, and five grandchildren.
