    Grady McMath Jr., 69, passed away Tuesday, May 27 at St. Joseph Regional Health Care. Funeral services will be held 11 a..m. Friday, May 30 at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan with family receiving friends at 10 a.m. Graveside service will be held Saturday May 31 at 4 p.m. at Strong Cemetery in Strong, Ark.

    He was born January 29, 1939 in El Dorado, Ark. to Grady Sr. and Fannie Lou McMath. Grady served as a deacon at Nassau Bay Baptist and Second Baptist Church in Houston. He and Sara moved to Bryan 2 years ago and were members of Central Baptist Church. He was a Research Engineer for Exxon Chemcials. Grady was a perfect gentleman, devoted husband and family man. He loved playing the piano especially his favorite hymn "The Lord's Prayer", which he played for his family only a week ago.

    He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sara Adcox McMath of Bryan; sons and daughter-in-law, John Grady McMath of Houston, Mark W. Sr. and Shannon McMath of Bryan; grandchildren, Katie and Mark McMath Jr.; brother and sister-in-law, William H. and Kathy McMath of Memphis, Tenn.; nephew, Mitchell Redd; nieces, Rachel Easley and Cecily McMath, and Sara's family.

    In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Family Life Center building fund at Central Baptist Church in Bryan, TX.

    STRONG, Ark. - Henry Grady McMath, Sr., 78, of Strong died Tuesday at his residence following a long illness.

    Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. today in the First Baptist Church of Strong with the Revs. Sardis Bever and Jimmy Taylor officiating. Burial will be in the Strong Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home of El Dorado.

    Mr. McMath is survived by two sons, Grady McMath, Jr. of Houston, Texas, William H. McMath of Memphis, Tenn.; one brother, Fred A. McMath of Monroe; two sisters, Mrs. G.F. Dugal of El Dorado, Mrs. T. B. Tillman of Lake Village; and four grandchildren.

    Mrs. Fannie Lou Houston McMath, 64, of Strong died Wednesday in a local nursing home after a long illness.

    She was born in Griffin, Ark., a daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. W.M. Houston.

    She retired as a teacher from the Strong Public School System in 1970, and had been a resident of Strong for the past 37 years.

    She was a member of the Henry G. Bunn Chapter of the UDC, of the First Baptist Church in Strong and a past president of Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority of El Dorado.

    Survivors include her husband, Grady McMath of Strong; two sons, Grady Jr. of Los Angeles, Calif., and William H. of Memphis, Tenn.; one brother, Van Houston of Houston, Tex.; one sister, Miss Lillie Ruth Houston of Vienna, Va., and three grandsons.

    Services are set for 3 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church at Strong with Rev. Sardis Bever officiating.

    Burial will follow in Strong cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home.

    Remains will be taken to church one and one-half hours before the service.

    Deacons of the First Baptist Church will serve as active pallbeareres.
