Obituary:

Rayne - Funeral services for Wilbert "Bud" "Slim" Clement, 88, of Rayne will be held on Friday, March 8, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. in Duhon Funeral Home Chapel, Rayne. Deacon Tommy Adams will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery #2, Rayne.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2013 from 11:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. in Duhon Funeral Home, Rayne, with a rosary being recited at 6:00 P.M. Visitation will continue on Friday from 8:00 A.M. until service time in the funeral home.

Mr. Clement passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at 9:19 P.M. in a Lafayette hospital.

A native and lifelong resident of Rayne, Mr. Clement was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for valor while serving in Burma.

Mr. Clement was a member of American Legion Arceneaux Post #77. He retired from Weatherford-Lamb after many years in the oilfield. He enjoyed gardening, reading (especially westerns), and he loved spending time at Holly Beach. His greatest joy in life was spending time with and caring for his family. He was a loving father and a devoted family man.

Survivors include his daughter, Betty Jo Constantine and husband, Darrell of Duson; sons, Ronald Clement, Sr. of Rayne, Mark A. Clement and wife, Mary of Mire, and Gregory Clement, Sr. of Rayne; grandchildren, Lynnette Comeaux and husband, Jay of Rayne, Ronald Clement, Jr. of Rayne, Crystal Reaux of St. Martinville, Shawn A. Clement and wife, Jenna of San Antonio, TX, Jamie Lopez of Rayne, Gregory Paul Clement, Jr. of Rayne, and Autumn Clement of Rayne; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He is also survived by his loving dog, Coco.

Preceding Mr. Clement in death were his parents, Beauregard and Aurelia Credeur Clement; son, Michael D. Clement; sister, Renola Bourque; and brother, Wilson Clement.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 12 at 2 p.m. in the St. Joseph Catholic Church for Beauregard Clement. Burial followed in the St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of Gossen Funeral Home.

Mr. Clement died Tuesday, May 11 at 5:20 a.m. in the Rayne Branch Hospital at the age of 81.

Survivors include his wife, Aurelia Credeur Clement, 2 sons, Wilson J. Clement of Galveston, Texas; Wilbert Clement of Rayne, 1 daughter, Mrs. Cyprien Bourque of Rayne, 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren, 1 brother, Louis Clement of Rayne, 2 sisters, Mrs. Otis Nunez of Port Arthur, Texas and Mrs. E.F. Hebert of Opelousas.

He was a veteran of World War I and was a member of the American Legion Arceneaux Post 77, which will hold a court of honor.

He was a native of Acadia Parish and was a retired farm foreman.

Funeral services were held for Mrs. Aurelia Clement Sunday at 2 p.m. in St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Mrs. Clement was 83 when she died at the Rayne Branch Hospital on Friday.

Burial was in the Church cemetery.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Cyprien Bourque of Rayne; two sons, Wilson J. Adam Clement Is Buried Here Thursday

Funeral services for Adam Clement who died at his home here Wednesday, November 28 at 3:45 P.M., were held Thursday, November 29, from the St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Interment followed in the adjoining Catholic cemetery, Wilbur Ardoin being in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Clement was a pioneer citizen of this section, having resided here all his life. He was 77 years of age at the time of his death. Several months ago, he suffered a serious accident in which he incurred a broken left leg. His age was a factor against his recovery and he passed away as a result of this accident.

He was well-known thruout his community, having resided here for such a long time. Funeral services were widely attended by the scores of friends and relatives of Mr. Clement.

He is survived by his widow, two daughters, Mrs. Ebrard Hebert of Abbeville and Mrs. Otis Nunez of Port Arthur; six sons: Alcee of Winnie, Tex.; Gaston of Highland, Tex.; Francois of Crowley; Leo, Beauregard and Louis, all of this city, and 30 grandchildren.

Rites Held Today In Rayne For Mrs. Adam Hebert

RAYNE, La. - Funeral services were to be conducted at 4 p.m today from the St. Joseph Catholic church in Rayne for Mrs. Adam Hebert, 87, who succumbed at her residence in Rayne at 5:30 p.m. Thursday following an illness of several years. Burial was to be in the St. Joseph cemetery.

Mrs. Hebert, the former Despalie Benoit, is survived by three sons, Leo, Beauregard, and Louis Clement, all of Rayne; two daughters, Mrs. Otis Nunez of Port Arthur, Texas, and Mrs. B. Hebert of Abbeville; a sister, Mrs. Ignace Dupont of Jennings and a brother, Albert Benoit, of New Iberia. Nineteen grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren also survive.

The Gossen Funeral Home of Rayne was in charge of arrangements.

Rayne, La., July 28. - Mrs. Don Louis Clement died this morning at 10 o'clock, at the advanced age of sixty-seven years. She will be buried at the Catholic Cemetery here tomorrow morning. She leaves two sons and four daughters.
