    Gary Lyndell Clement

    Born September 25, 1949 in Baytown, Texas. Died December 30, 2018 in Grafton, WI. Age 69 years. He grew up in Highlands, TX and moved to Splendora in high school. He was an athlete in high school and graduated as valedictorian in 1968. He was blessed with his daughter, Monica, in 1971 and graduated from Sam Houston State University in the same year. He remained a "Bearkats" fan throughout his life. He started working at Exxon Refinery in Baytown, TX in 1974. He married the love of his life, Deborah, in 1981.

    Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Estelle and Watts, and his son Timothy. He is survived by his wife, Deborah (nee Stipe) of Grafton, WI, his daughter Monica (Tom) Drews of Hartford, WI, and his grandson Jeffery (Bianca) Brackin of Crosby, TX. He is also survived by his sister, Beverly, of Santa Fe, TX, his brother Adam (Debbie) Clement of Canyon Lake, TX, and his sister Annette (Ron) Inkster of Porter, TX. He has three nephews, one niece and one great grandson.

    Gary loved to write. Several years ago, he published a book called Star Rookie. This year he was excited to have his new book Elizabeth's Diary published. It is a civil war period book and one of Gary's proudest accomplishments.

    Another great achievement for Gary was when he earned his Master's Degree in Christian Ministries in 2011 and his Doctorate in Theology in 2015. He retired from work as a project manager in 2015 and traveled with Deborah.

    Adam Watts Clement, 92, of Santa Fe, Texas, passed away Thursday, August 3, 2017. He was born in Orange, Texas, April 16, 1925 to Gaston and Orline (Sonnier) Clement. He married Estelle (Mitchell) Clement, his wife of 60 years on May 12, 1947. Watts grew up in Highlands, Texas. He began working in the Baytown Exxon Refinery at the age of 18 and retired after 32 years in 1975. Watts is a veteran of both World War II and the Korean War. He often shared stories of his experiences while serving in the Army. He loved taming horses in his younger years and then enjoyed raising and working with cattle in Splendora, Texas and also in Dawson, Texas after retirement. Watts lived the last several years in Santa Fe, Texas. He will be missed by many who so loved and are very proud of this hard working, peaceful, family man.

    He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Estelle Clement; grandsons, Trent Clement, and Timothy Clement; sisters, Beatrice Sullivan, and Thelma Clement; brothers G.I. Clement and Raymond Clement.

    Watts is survived by his children, Beverly Clement, Gary and Deborah Clement, A.W. and Debbie Clement, and Annette and Ron Inkster. He leaves behind grandchildren, Monica Clement, Tracey and Craig Anderson, Dustin and Shelley Inkster, Drake and Stanci Inkster, Drew Inkster; twelve great grandchildren, and one great great grandson. He is also survived by his brothers; Alford Clement and wife, Toni, Frank Clement and wife, Gayle, sister-in-laws, Lucille Clement and Rosemary Clement; many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

    The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 6 from 2-5 pm and services will be held Monday, August 7 at 2 pm at Earthman Funeral Home in Baytown Texas.

    Estelle Clement, age 79, of Santa Fe, Texas, passed away May 31, 2007 in Galveston, Texas. She was born January 20, 1928 in Hazel, Texas to Audie and Elsie Mitchell. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

    Survivors include her husband of sixty years, Watts Clement; daughters, Beverly Clement, Annette Inkster and husband, Ron; sons, Gary Clement and wife, Deborah and A. W. Clement, Jr. and wife, Deborah; six sisters; Ethel Masterson, Faye Glosup, Ruby Lee Helms, Maree Williams, Marilyn Williams, Merle Malone; brother, Michael Mitchell; five grandchildren, Dustin, Drake and Drew Inkster; Tracey Anderson, and Monica Clement; and six great grandchildren.

    Clement Rites Tomorrow

    Gaston Clement, a 50 year old Humble employee, died at 7 a.m. today at his home in Highlands.

    Funeral services will be at 4:30 p.m. tomorrow at the Paul U. Lee Funeral Home with Father Parmentier of St. Jude's Catholic Church officiating. Burial will be in White Cemetery near Highlands.

    Clement is survived by his widow; one daughter, Mrs. Beatrice Perry of Cedar Bayou; five sons, Adam W., Raymond, Gaston, Jr., Olford, and Frank W. Clement, all of Highlands; and his mother, Mrs. Adam Clement of Rayne, Louisiana.

    Other survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Angele Nunez of Port Arthur and Mrs. Bertha Herbert of Rayne; four brothers, Alce Clement of Stowell and Leo Clement and Louis Clement of Rayne; and three grandchildren.
