Funeral services for Thomas Wayne McGinty, age 62, of Pasadena, were held 4 p.m. Monday, March 5 at the Madisonville Funeral Home. Burial was in Park Cemetery.

Mr. McGinty was born on Nov. 12, 1944 in Madisonville to William Thomas and Melba Ruth (Andrus) McGinty and died on Thursday, March 1 in Pasadena. He was a resident of Pasadena for 28 years. He worked as a boilermaker in the tank industry. He also enjoyed buying and selling antiques. Mr. McGinty made many woodcraft items and raised game birds. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ronnie McGinty.

Survivors include his wife, Lotus McGinty of Pasadena; son, Thomas Wayne McGinty Jr. of Pearl, Mississippi; two daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa and Charles Whittington of Pasadena, Tommye and Aaron Baquet of La Porte; four brothers, Possum McGinty of North Zulch, Sammie McGinty of DeQuincy, Louisiana, Sisco McGinty of Iola, Punch McGinty of Navasota; sister Donna Kay McGinty of Belton and five grandchildren, Charles Taylor, Chelsea, Little Aaron, Sean Paul and Casey Elaine.

Pallbearers were Possum McGinty, Sammie McGinty, Sisco McGinty, Punch McGinty, Charles Whittington and Aaron Baquet.

Funeral services for Lotus Elaine (Wilcox) McGinty are set for 2 PM, Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at the Madisonville Funeral Home in Madisonville. A visitation will be held from 9 AM that morning until the time of the funeral service and burial will follow in the Park Cemetery. Rev. Edward McKnight will officiate and all arrangements are under the direction of Madisonville Funeral Home.

Lotus McGinty was born in Madisonville on July 25, 1950 to Frank E. Wilcox and Letha Reba (Thompson) Wilcox. She grew up in Madisonville but lived in Harris County for more than 30 years. Lotus attended Living Water Assembly of God Church in Pasadena. She was a school crossing guard for Deer Park I.S.D. for several years and also drove a bus for the Deer Park I.S.D. She enjoyed craft projects. Lotus was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband, Thomas McGinty, Sr. She passed away on January 22, 2016 at a Pasadena Hospital.

Surviving family members include her son, Thomas McGinty, Jr. of Gulf Port, Mississippi; daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Chuck Whittington of La Porte, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Tommye and Aaron Baquet of La Porte, Texas; brother, Robert E. Wilcox of Deer Park, Texas; sister, Rita McKnight of Deer Park, Texas and grandchildren, Taylor Whittington, Chelsea McGinty, Aaron Baquet, Sean Baquet and Casey Baquet.

Melba Ruth McGinty
June 28, 1922 - March 17, 1991

MADISONVILLE - Funeral services for Melba Ruth McGinty, 68, of North Zulch will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Willowhole Chapel in North Zulch.

The Rev. Billy Dale Evans will officiate. Visiting hours will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Madisonville Funeral Home. burial will be at Willowhole Cemetery.

Mrs. McGinty died Sunday night in a Bryan hospital.

She was a lifelong resident of North Zulch. Mrs. McGinty was a homemaker and a Baptist.

Survivors include six sons and daughters-in-law, Tom and Lotus McGinty of Pasadena, Possum and Debra McGinty and Billy Ray and Celia McGinty, all of North Zulch, Sammy and Ruthie McGinty of DeQuincy, La., Ronnie and Patsy McGinty of Houston, and Cisco and Twila McGinty of Navasota; a daughter and son-in-law, Donna Kay and David Davis of Temple; a brother, Herman Andrus of Lufkin; two sisters, Estelle Nelson and Ella May May, both of North Zulch; 16 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
