Obituary:

Marceline Houston, 78, a native and lifelong resident of Shreveport, LA, passed away Monday, April 22, 2002 in Dallas, TX.

A family graveside service was held Thursday, April 25, 2002, at Centuries Memorial Park.

Mrs. Houston was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Houston.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen Slagle Carpenter and husband, John of Tuscaloosa, AL; sons, Roger Slagle and wife, Charlotte of Arlington, TX and Clay Slagle of Shreveport, LA; step-sons, Charles Houston and wife, Billie of San Antonio, TX, Rickey Houston and wife, Jeannie of Marshall, TX, and Jerry Houston and wife, Sue Ann of Ruston, LA; brother, Carlton Gentry and wife, Mildred of Mansfield, LA; sister-in-law, Virginia Gentry of Shreveport, LA; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
