    Obituary:

Christopher Parrish Barrow, 25, passed away unexpectedly Monday, March 21, 2016 in a car accident. He was born to Chrissy Mafrige-Cogdell and Craig Barrow in Huntsville, Texas on September 23, 1990.

He was his family's strong and steady, their spiritual compass, and their loyal leader. He spoke often of the kind of father and husband he wanted to be: loving, affectionate, faithful and habitually present; the type of father and future husband he had already become. His smile was genuine and infectious, and always accompanied a breathtaking hug.

Accepting Christ into his life at an early age, Christopher constantly did his best to exhibit the qualities of a God-fearing and God-loving man. His family watched him grow into the responsible man of God his mother always knew he was destined to become. He was a young man who lived life to its fullest, with a strong internal moral compass of character and integrity. He often served as the sounding board for his close friends and brothers who eagerly sought his advice. Christopher really enjoyed working with children and served in several leadership roles in the Junior High and High School ministries at University Heights Baptist Church.

He was the consummate joker, an animated dancer, an innovative and fearless adventurer, a ferocious paint-ball opponent, and a firearm enthusiast. He loved fiercely, lived fully and gave generously. He was a blessing to each and every person who crossed his path.

He is survived by his fiancée, Lauryn Evans, and son, Jackson Logan; his parents, Chrissy Mafrige-Cogdell and Blake Cogdell of Montgomery, and Craig and Vickie Barrow of Huntsville; his brothers Dustin Blake Price (Carley), Stephen Porter Price (Amber Pless), Dylan Scott Price, Jamil Rene Coleman and Cameron Blake Cogdell; his sisters, Tori Renee Barrow and Kelsey Lynn Cogdell; grandparents, Linda and Bill Watts of College Station, Larry and Dona Brown of Huntsville, and Diana and Mike Fielding of Huntsville; George and Karen Smith of Conroe; in-laws (to be) Elaine and John Lavin of Quarryville, PA; Michael and Gail Evans of Lansdale, PA; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his step-father, Ronald Peter Mafrige, maternal grandfather, Robert Porter Wood, paternal grandparents, Vernon and Donell Barrow, maternal great-grandparents, Robert and Jane Wood, and paternal great-grandparents, Carrie and Vernon Barrow.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 24, 2016 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville, Texas. The funeral will be held Friday, March 25 at 2 p.m. at University Heights Baptist Church in Huntsville, followed by a private interment. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked donations be made to the Jackson Barrow College Fund through the Spirit of Texas Bank, 815 West Davis, Conroe, TX 77301.
