Obituary:
Funeral for Carmeletta "Tootsie" O. Hicks, 49, of Decatur, was to be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, at Calvary Baptist Church in Bowie, with the Rev. Mike Henson officiating. Interment was to be at Salona Cemetery.
Hicks died Sunday, Nov. 18, 2007, in Houston.
Born March 20, 1958, to Coy and Lola Gwin Wadsworth in Bowie, she married Paul Hicks Dec. 30, 1978, at Central Baptist Church in Bowie. She graduated from Bowie High School and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Janelle Roberts.
She is survived by her husband, Paul, of Decatur; sons, Jesse Hicks of Decatur and Jeremy Hicks of Denton; brothers, Jimmy Wadsworth and Joe Wadsworth of Bowie; sisters, Sue Ann Lyons of Bowie and Merle White; grandchildren, Jesse Hicks Jr., Tyler James Hicks Jr., Kara Elaine Hicks, Kristopher Lee Hicks and Kasepine Hicks.
