    Clovis Hugh Talbot, 63, of 2219 Woodrow Dr. in Port Arthur, died at 4:27 p.m. Friday at St. Mary Hospital. He was a native and lifelong resident of Port Arthur. He retired from the grease department at Gulf Oil Corporation and was a member of St. Catherine's Catholic Church.

    Funeral arrangements are pending at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home. He is survived by his wife, Loyce Mouton Talbot; two sons, Richard Kent Talbot of Port Arthur and Charles Dirk Talbot of Austin; one daughter, Molly Mary Talbot and one granddaughter; two brothers, Pat Talbot and Curt Talbot of Holly Beach, Louisiana; and one sister, Vivian Brown of Austin.

    Loyce Talbot Gant "Granny" She died at 12:50 p.m. on Wednesday, August 15, 2007 on the Feast of the Assumption after a 5 month battle with cancer.

    Loyce was born on June 29, 1928 in Port Arthur, Texas and was a long time resident of Port Arthur until she moved to Austin, Texas six years ago to be near her children and grandchildren. Her parents were Annabelle and Freddie Mouton. She was married to Joe Talbot for 37 years, when he died, she married Roland Gant and was married 10 years before Roland passed away. She is also preceded in death by her beloved daughter Jody Ellen Talbot.

    She is survived by her children, Kent Talbot of Clear Lake, Texas, Dirk Talbot and his wife Sissy of Austin, Texas; and daughter, Molly Talbot Stuart and husband Loy of Austin, Texas; seven grandchildren, Elizabeth Talbot, Melanie Talbot, Sarah Talbot, Allison Talbot, Joe Talbot, Abby Stuart, and Ellen Stuart all of Austin, Texas. Mouton sisters and their families, Fredna LeBlanc and husband Nolan of Orange, Texas, Hazel Deslatte and husband Wilton of Port Neches, Texas, Glenda Venable of Austin, Texas, Sandy Brent and husband Ralph of Magnolia Springs, Texas; and a host of nieces and nephews who loved Aunt Loyce dearly, and many friends and family members who will always remember her humor and infectious laughter.

    A Memorial Service will be held at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Austin, Texas on August 25, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Elmer Holtmann officiating. A Mass of Christian Burial was previously held in Port Neches.

    F.L. Talbot Funeral Set

    A rosary for Ferdinand Louis Talbot, 71, of 3152 Mimosa street in Port Acres, will be recited tonight at 7:30 o'clock in the Nederland Memorial chapel.

    Mr. Talbot, a 43-year resident of this area, died Thursday at Simon's Mid-County Nursing home after a long illness.

    Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Little Flower of Jesus Catholic church with the Rev. Martin Bordages, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens cemetery in Nederland.

    A native of Rayne, La., Mr. Talbot retired several years ago from the water, steam and air department of the Gulf Oil refinery in Port Arthur where he had worked for 37 years. He was a former member of the OCAW Local 4-23 and he belonged to the Little Flower church.

    Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Bertha Talbot of Port Acres; three sons, P.A. and Curt Talbot, both of Port Acres and C.H. Talbot of Port Arthur; one daughter, Mrs. Vivian Brown of Austin; two sisters, Mrs. Rudolph LeBouef and Mrs. Ned Champagne, both of Port Arthur; two brothers, Claude Talbot of Texas City and Emile Talbot of Port Acres; and nine grandchildren.

    Pallbearers will be Dudley, Larry and Percy Talbot, Calvin Caillier, A.J. Abshire and Rudolph Ronsonette, Jr.

    Mrs. Talbot's Rosary Tonight, Mass Set Friday

    NEDERLAND - A rosary for Mrs. Bertha Talbot, 69, of 3152 Mimosa street in Port Acres, a resident of the Port Arthur area for 43 years, will be recited here tonight at 7:15 o'clock in the Nederland Memorial Funeral home chapel.

    Mrs. Talbot died Wednesday at 11:37 p.m. in Doctor's hospital in Groves after a short illness.

    Funeral mass will be offered Friday at 9 a.m. in the Little Flower of Jesus Catholic church in Port Acres. The Rev. Martin Bordages, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in Memory Gardens cemetery.

    A native of Cecilia, La., Mrs. Talbot was a member of the Little Flower of Jesus church in Port Acres. She was the widow of Fred Talbot who died here Jan. 12, this year.

    Surviving Mrs. Talbot are one daughter, Mrs. Vivian Brown of Austin; three sons, Joe Talbot of Port Arthur, Curt Talbot of Nederland and Pat Talbot of Port Acres; her mother, Mrs. Paul Caillier of Cecilia; three sisters, Mrs. J.P. Hebert of Port Arthur, Ms. Jane LeBlanc of Cecilia and Mrs. Isabel Royer of Lafayette; five brothers, A. Caillier of Rayne, La., Dan Caillier of Port Arthur, Claude Caillier of New Orleans, La., D. Caillier of Cecilia and Wesley Caillier of Mobile, Ala.; and 11 grandchildren.
