    Sarah Hoffpauir, 73, of Winnie died September 17, 2005 at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth in Beaumont.

    Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 20, 2005 at First Baptist Church of Stowell, with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Broussard's, 134 W. Buccaneer Dr., in Winnie. A gathering of friends and family will be 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.

    A resident of Winnie for 59 years, Sarah was an honor graduate of East Chambers High School where she honored as the Salutatorian of the class of 1949. Sarah was a fifty-year member of First Baptist Church of Stowell and was Church Treasurer for thirty-seven years. Her favorite scripture was Romans 8:38-39.

    She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Floyd Hoffpauir of Winnie; sons, Gary Hoffpauir and his wife Lynda, Jeff Hoffpauir, and Randy Hoffpauir, all of Winnie and James Hoffpauir and his wife Lynn of Russleville, Arkansas; brothers, Floyd Hamous of Houston and Lloyd Hamous of Estes Park, Colorado; daughter-in-law, Annie Finn of Winnie; grandchildren, Ken Hoffpauir and his wife Shelly, Rama Hoffpauir, Jessica Hoffpauir, Cole Hoffpauir, and Royce Spencer.

    In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sarah Hoffpauir Memorial Fund of First Baptist Church of Stowell, P.O. Box 70, Stowell, Texas 77661.
