    Obituary:

Elizabeth Evelyn Greer Lucario, 83, went to be with her Lord on July 21, 2013 at her home in Friendswood, TX. Elizabeth was born to Tommy and Billie Greer in Somerville, TX on September 16, 1929. Throughout her life, she was influenced strongly by her parents, her stepfather, Charlie Cates, her strong sense of family and most importantly, her relationship with her Lord, Jesus Christ. Elizabeth lived throughout Texas, including Milligan and Centerville, before settling in Houston, where she graduated from Jeff Davis High School as part of the "Black Battalion Drill Team". It is in Houston that she met the one and only love of her life, Tony J. Lucario. They were married in 1950. Together they raised a family in the Houston Heights where Elizabeth was active in many volunteer capacities. She served in the PTA at Robert Browning Elementary School and other school activities, and served on several committees at Christ The King Catholic Church where the family were parishioners until they relocated to the Lake Livingston area in Point Blank, TX upon retirement in 1985. Upon moving to the Lake, Tony and Elizabeth became founding members and volunteers at St. Stephen's Missionary Catholic Church in Point Blank, TX where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and in many other capacities for over 18 years. In 2008, Tony and Elizabeth moved to the Bedford Retirement Community in Friendswood, TX to be closer to their children, where they remained until present day. Elizabeth was known as a skillful dancer. She enjoyed square dancing as well as country and western dancing and could be found monthly in Houston at the local Sacred Heart Dances with her husband and friends. Elizabeth enjoyed the love of many friends and family throughout her years in the Houston Heights, Lake Livingston, and the Bedford Community in Friendswood, TX. Tony and Elizabeth raised their children with an emphasis on family, religion and strong moral values. She was a friend to all and a friend who could always be counted on to lend a helping hand.

Elizabeth is survived by her loving husband Tony J. Lucario, daughter Toni Lynn Ford, son Morris W. Lucario, six grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren and many relatives and cherished friends.
