    NAVASOTA - Services for Barbara Pennington Lovell, 46, of Houston will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota.

    Burial will be in Peach Creek Cemetery.

    Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. today at 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday.

    Ms. Lovell died Thursday evening in Houston.

    She was born in Houston and was a homemaker.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Lawrence and Alene Lovell.

    Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Bobby Henderson and Pam Nichols of Rosharon; a daughter, Joann Pennington Hyde of Rosharon; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry and Ruby Lovell of Bryan and Leslie and Terry Lovell of Caldwell; a sister and brother-in-law, Sandi Vacante Lovell and Greg Burkhalter of Bryan; a grandmother, Lorena Greer of Bryan; and one grandchild.

    Albert Lawrence Lovell

    NAVASOTA - Graveside funeral services for Albert Lawrence Lovell, 68, of Navasota will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Peach Creek Cemetery in Brazos County.

    Officiating will be the Rev. Richard Kleiman of the First Presbyterian Church in Navasota.

    Visiting hours are 1-9 p.m. today and 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday at Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota.

    Lovell died Sunday in a Houston hospital.

    Lovell was born in Bryan. He was a retired heavy-equipment operator for the City of Houston.

    He served in the U.S. Army in World War II.

    Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert Lawrence and Ruby Lovell of Caldwell; two daughters and a son-in-law, Barbara Ann Lovell of Houston and Sandra Lynn and Frank Vacante of Navasota; a brother and sister-in-law, Ernest and Alene Lovell of Bryan; four sisters, Iny Blazek and Effie Poehl, both of Bryan, Mildred Lynd of Mississippi and Stella Griffith of Crockett; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

    Mrs. Maida Alene Lovell, 42, of Houston, died Monday at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Callaway-Jones Chapel with the Rev. W. L. Schober of the Sunnyland Assembly of God Church of Houston officiating. Burial will follow in Peach Creek Cemetery.

    Mrs. Lovell, a Brazos County native, lived in Bryan until 1954. She was a member of the Sunnyland Assembly of God Church.

    Survivors include her husband, Albert L. Lovell of Houston; two sons, Robert Lovell and Lester Lovell, both of Houston; two daughters, Barbara Ann Lovell and Sandra Lynn Lovell, both of Houston; five brothers, Dean Greer of Houston and Norman Greer, Glenn Greer, Sidney Greer and Kenneth Greer, all of Bryan; five sisters, Mrs. Audrey Reinier of Little Rock, Ark., Mrs. Lillian Russell of Austin, Mrs. Barbara Poorman of Hahn, Germany, Mrs. Bertha Hall of Bryan and Mrs. Sunshine Wade of College Station, and her mother, Mrs. Lorena Greer of College Station.

    Funeral is Held For Dave Greer At Peach Creek

    Funeral services for Dave Monroe Greer were held this afternoon at 3:30 in the Peach Creek cemetery, with Rev. H.C. McEntire officiating. He died in a Navasota hospital Sunday.

    Mr. Greer was born in Brazos county, December 17, 1901, and at the time of his death was 45 years, 7 months and 16 days of age.

    He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lorena Greer; his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Avery Greer; six daughters, Mrs. Aline Lovell of Bryan; Mrs. Lillian Reiner of Austin and Misses Lillian, Sunshine, Bertha and Barbara Jean, all of Bryan; five sons, Monroe, Glenn, Sidney, Dean and Kenneth of Bryan; three sisters, Mrs. Sarah Gibson, Mrs. Laura Fanette and Mrs. Martha Dillion, all of Houston, and one brother, Robert Greer of San Antonio.

    Interment was in the Peach Creek cemetery, under the direction of Hillier Funeral Home. Pallbearers included J.T. Sims, C.M. Lovell, Bennie Allen, Henry L. Allen, Tom Barker and L.S. Barker.

    Services for Lorena E. Greer, 94, of Bryan are set for 2 p.m. Monday at Hillier Funeral Home in Bryan.

    The Rev. Howard Crenshaw will officiate. Burial will be in Peach Creek Cemetery in the Peach Creek Community.

    Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to the time of the services Monday at the funeral home.

    Mrs. Greer died Friday at Sherwood Health Care Facility in Bryan.

    She was born in Grimes County. She was a homemaker and a member of the Second Baptist Church of College Station.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Dave Monroe Greer.

    Survivors include four sons and three daughters-in-law, Glen and Bea Greer of Brookland, Texas, Dean Greer of Bryan, Sidney and Nelda Greer of Bryan and Kenneth and Annette Greer of Bryan; four daughters, Audrey Lee Reinier of North Little Rock, Ark., Lillian Russell of Bryan, Mildred Sunshine Wade of Bryan and Bertha M. Hall of Bryan; a brother, Sidney Appling of Millican, Texas; a sister, Alma Hyatt of Conroe; 44 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
