    John Thomas Dillin, News composing room employe, succumbs

    John Thomas Dillin, 43, a machinist in the composing room of The Birmingham News, died at a local hospital last night.

    Born in Birmingham, Mr. Dillin had worked for The News 11 years before he went to Houston to work 15 years ago. He returned to The News last September.

    Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Martha Dillin, Houston; a daughter, Reba Betha Dillin, Victoria, Tex.; the parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Dillin, Sr., Birmingham; a brother, H. E. Dillin, Jr., Birmingham, and two sisters, Mrs. F. E. Waldron, San Francisco, and Mrs. G. O. Rollins, Birmingham.

    Mr. Dillin made his home here at 5009 Second Avenue, North.

    Funeral arrangements will be announced by the Vice Funeral Home.
