LONGVIEW - A viewing for Rickey Lynn Kimbrough, 55, of Longview, will be held from 2-4 p.m. Friday, August 10, 2018 at East Texas Funeral Home?s North Longview Chapel. Rickey passed away August 8, 2018.

Born March, 29, 1963, in Port Author, Texas, Rickey grew up in Houston, attended Ellison High School in Killeen, lived in Hawaii, and finally made his home in Longview. Rickey considered himself a true cowboy troubadour, and his favorite country music artist was George Strait. He never met a stranger and made friends wherever he went.

Rickey was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Kimbrough.

He is survived by his wife, Crystal Kimbrough; parents, Jimmy and June Stinson; son, Rickey Jr and wife Susie Kimbrough with granddaughters, Sarah and Kelsey; daughter, Kasey Kimbrough of Tyler; sons, John, David and Phillip Thompson; sister, Teresa and husband Bobby Cosper of Longview, brother, Dennis and wife Debbie Kimbrough of Longview; sister, Angie and husband Cody Boyd of Longview; brother, Jason Kimbrough of Cleveland, TX; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

To know Rickey was to love him. He was truly one of a kind - a rare breed of cowboy and the smoothest country dancer. If he were here today, he would say "What's really goin' on?"

Services for Tommie Elaine Loddy, 39, Tyler, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at Memorial Funeral Home, Tyler, with the Rev. Gary Byrd officiating.

Burial will be 3 p.m. at Peach Creek Cemetery near College Station.

Mrs. Loddy died July 15 at her residence.

She was born Sept. 2, 1961, in Navasota and lived in Tyler for 15 years.

She was a former resident of College Station and member of Rosedale Baptist Church where she taught the Teen Sunday School Class. She was a homemaker and an adult leader for Noonday 4-H Club.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Loddy, Tyler; son, Rickey Lynn Kimbrough Jr., Tyler; daughter, Brandy Lane Loddy, Tyler; father and stepmother, Tommy E. and Helen Barker, Sulphur Springs; mother and stepfather, Phyllis Elaine and Clint Trncak, Tyler; sister, Rhonda Lynn Johnson, McKinney; stepbrothers, Jeffery Goldsmith and Danny Goldsmith, both of Sulphur Springs.

Pallbearers will be Danny Goldsmith, Jeffery Goldsmith, Jeffery Goldsmith Jr., Ted Smith, Rance Bennett and Cole Bennett.

Visitation will be 6-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Funeral service for Tommy Edward Barker, 76, of Brashear, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at First Baptist Church with Rev. David Hardage and Rev. Mark Bryant officiating. Military Honors by the Hopkins County Military Coalition will follow. Pallbearers will be the grandchildren and honorary pallbearers will be the FBC Radio Bible Class. Visitation will be held from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., prior to service at First Baptist Church. Mr. Barker passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at ETMC of Tyler. He was born on July 12, 1936 in Peach Creek , TX, the son of Tom Hill Barker and Ina Mae Allen Barker He married Helen Bryant Barker March 5, 1983 in Van, TX. Mr. Barker was a member of First Baptist Church, Sulphur Springs. He was a graduate of Texas A&M University. He was a retired Hopkins County Agriculture Extension Agent, and was a recipient of the Distinguished Service Award from the National Association of County Agriculture Agents. Mr. Barker was a Veteran of the National Guard, he was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by wife, Helen Bryant Barker of Brashear, his children, Rhonda Barker Johnson of McKinney, Danny Wayne Goldsmith and Jeffery Bryant Goldsmith of Point, two sisters, Barbara Snyder of Hurst, and Shirley Perry of Caldwell, three brothers, Daniel Barker of Colmesneil, Raymond "Rip" Barker of Navasota, and Harold "Toby" Barker of Ft. Davis. Numerous grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Tommie Elaine "Punkin" Loddy. NAVASOTA - Services for Laura Greer Burkhalter, 95, of Millican are set for 11 a.m. Wednesday at Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota.

The Revs. O.L. Powell and Glenn Murphy of Greater Christian Life Church will officiate. Burial will be in Peach Creek Cemetery.

Mrs. Burkhalter died Sunday in Brazos County.

She was born in Peach Creek and was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Burkhalter.

Survivors include six daughters and five sons-in-law, Marie Fazzino of Millican, Kay and Bill Easterling of Bryan, Sarah and Bill McDaniels of Angleton, Vera and W.B. Carr of Willis, Billie Jo and Autrey Dixon of Navasota and Elaine and Clint Trncak of Tyler; two sons and daughters-in-law, Andy and Mary Fanette and Ben and Fleeta Fanette, all of Jacksonville; 14 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
