    Obituary:

Judith Arlene Tannery passed away from complications developed after her prolonged case of COVID-19 on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 in Cypress, Texas at the age of 81.

Judith (aka Judy Roiz and more recently Judith Murray), the only child of Dick Banks Tannery and Barbara Inez Black was born in Houston, Texas on September 28, 1939. Judy had four children, Dawn, Phillip, Jason and Joanna and was blessed with 17 grandchildren and many other close family members and friends that she loved dearly.

Those that knew Judy know that she had many talents. She loved to sing and dance and all things music. She started playing piano at an early age and sang on KTRH John Wesley Graham's radio show as teenager every Saturday. Her favorite songs to sing were Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy and Elvis Presley's Baby What You Want Me to Do. She kept singing throughout her life in the church choir and in everyday life. She was known to break into song and even singing out her children's names when calling out to them.

Judy loved any and all flowers and grew beautiful roses that were the envy of the neighborhood. She loved gardening and all things arts and crafts including painting, pastels, crochet, embroidery, beauty products, perfume and jewelry. She became an accomplished business woman in the beauty and retail business and spent the last several years before her retirement serving her local church.

Judy's family is thankful to have been able to all gather for her 80th birthday celebration in the fall of 2019 as it was the last time she was with all four of her children and many of her grandchildren and friends.

Judy is now with her daughter Dawn, who preceded her in death in 2020, her beloved father tragically taken in an automobile accident and her mother, Nez. May they rest in peace for eternity together.

For those attending Judy's Celebration of Life we ask that you honor Judy's love of beautiful colors and flowers and wear your brightest spring outfit. For those unable to attend, the service will be live streamed at https://youtu.be/EvwY4z467Zg
