    Graveside services for Allen Huckaby, 67, of Bryan will be at 1 p.m. today at the Rest-Ever Memorial Park.

    The Rev. Dale Smith, pastor of United Freewill Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Rest-Ever Memorial Park. Callaway-Jones Funeral Home is handling the funeral arrangements.

    Mr. Huckaby died Sunday morning at home.

    He was born in the Edge Community and had been a lifelong resident of Bryan. Mr. Huckaby was a retired civil service employee and had served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

    He is preceded in death by his father, Barnes Huckaby; two brothers, Robert and Marvin Huckaby; and a sister, Lynn Sanders.

    Survivors include his wife, Mary Huckaby of Bryan; two sons, Robert Huckaby of Hearne and Ray Huckaby of Bryan; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Mark Trial of Bryan; his mother, Effie Huckaby of Bryan; a brother, Irvin Huckaby of Bryan; three sisters, Grace Morris, Nelleen Restmeyer, and Elaine Brady, all of Bryan; and granddaughter, Lauren Trail of Pennsylvania.

    Mary Huckaby, 82, passed away Friday, August 7, 2015. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at St. Michael's Chapel, 2402 S. College Ave. in Bryan, Texas. A graveside funeral service will begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday morning, August 12, at Restever Memorial Park Cemetery in Bryan, with Danny Davis officiating. Funeral services are in the care of Callaway-Jones Funeral Home and Crematory.

    Mary was born October 19, 1932 to Fletcher N. German and Martha Warren, in Wellborn, Texas.

    She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Allen Huckaby; parents; brother Fletcher German Jr; sister Gladys Koerth.

    Survivors include her sons, Robert Huckaby of LaGrange, and Ray Huckaby of Bryan; daughter, Linda Trail and husband Mark, of Victoria; brother, Sam German and wife Louise, of Thompsonville, Ill.; sisters, Elizabeth Boyed and husband Charles, of College Station, and Cathy Holligan and husband Byron, of Bryan; granddaughter, Lauren Trail of Victoria; great granddaughter Lacey Grace Krawietz of Victoria; and numerous nieces and nephews.

    Mattie Ella Kaechele

    Mattie Ella Kaechele, 82, of 806 Fairview in College Station died in Bryan on Friday.

    Services wll be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Hillier Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Owens officiating. Burial will be in Wellborn Cemetery.

    Mrs. Kaechele, born in Oren, had lived in Brazos County 71 years. She was a retired nurse, a homemaker. a member of American Legion Auxiliary in Bryan and a member of Second Baptist Church in College Station.

    Survivors include two sons, Fletcher German Jr. of College Station, Sam German of Thompsonville. Ill.: four daughters, Gladys Koerth of San Antonio, Kathy Holligan of Bryan, Elizabeth Plagens of Somerville, Mary Lois Huckaby of Bryan; a brother, Albert Warren of College Station; a sister, Tennie Dowling McDonald of Bryan; 21 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

    Pioneer Woman Of This County Is Buried Today

    Mrs. Martha Katherine German, aged 72 years, 2 months and 10 days, died Sunday morning at 9 o'clock at her home near College Station. A resident of Brazos county for the past 62 years, Mrs. German was one of its early settlers. She was a native Texan, born in Burleson county Aug. 20, 1863.

    She is survived by two sons and two daughters: F. N. German of Wellborn; John German of Houston; Mrs. W. D. Burkhalter of College Station and Mrs. J. F. Gree of Rock Prairie. One sister also survives her, Mrs. Sallie Ross of College Station.

    The funeral services were held from her late home this afternoon at 2 o'clock, with Rev. J. P. Brown of Bryan, in charge. Interment was made in the old Millican cemetery where other members of the family sleep. McCulloch-Dansby were in charge of all funeral arrangements.
