Obituary:

Funeral services for Charlie Ross McCain, 82, of Leesville, Louisiana will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 18, 2014, at the Jackson Chapel Church of Christ in Leesville with Bro. Travis Murray officiating. Burial will follow in the Stephens Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Charlie, the son of Charlie Medford and Mary Ethel McCain, was born November 12, 1931, in Sylvester, TX. He passed away on Monday, October 13, 2014, in Houston, TX.

Charlie did his best to give himself to his God and his family. He was honest in business, active in the church, well respected in the community and dedicated to his family. Mr. McCain was known to always have a wonderful outlook on life and a broad smile on his face. He will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 48 years, Delores Estes McCain.

He is survived by his children, Darla Ewing of Denver, CO and Candace Maddox of Houston, TX; brother, Roy McCain of Wolfforth, TX; sisters, Joyce Suggs of Winters, TX and Freda Holleman of Lubbock, TX; grandchildren, Stacy Moore of Denver, CO and Jessica Hoyer of Memphis, TX and great grandchild, Olivia Moore of Denver, CO and many nieces and nephews.
