    PLAINVIEW - Funeral services for H.C. Hamlin, 51, of Plainview, were to be at 2 p.m. today in the Aiken Baptist Church with the Rev. Carl Coffee, pastor, officiating.

    Burial was to be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens by Lemons Funeral Home.

    Mr. Hamlin, a farmer, was dead on arrival about 9 p.m. Wednesday at a Plainview hospital.

    Born in Howard County, he moved to Petersburg in 1953 and to Plainview in 1966. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Hale County Farm Bureau.

    Survivors include his wife, Mary Frances; a stepdaugther, Mrs. Bobby L. Read of Big Spring; a son, Hulan Lee of Plainview; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Monta Hamlin of Big Spring; a sister, Miss Juanita Hamlin of Big Spring; and two grandchildren.

    PLAINVIEW - Mary Frances Hamlin, 90, died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2004.

    Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Parkview Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe P. Weldon, pastor of South Plains Baptist Church, and the Rev. Steve Martin, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery by Bartley Funeral Home.

    Mrs. Hamlin was born Aug. 13, 1913, in Coleman. She married Harry Clinton Hamlin on Aug. 25, 1947, in Stanton.

    Survivors include a son, Hulan Hamlin of Aiken; a daughter, Anne Read of Big Spring; a brother, Albert "Buddy" Neff of Coleman; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
