    Ms. Kimberly Michelle Fridel, 50 of Millican, TX, passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2023. A service will be held on Friday, March 10, 2023, at 2:00 PM, in Wheat Cemetery with Rev. Glen Whitmire officiating. Fellowship will immediately follow at Millican Community Center. Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.

    Kim was born in Bryan, TX to James and Sherry Fridel of Millican. She was blessed with two beautiful boys, Cameron and Cade Phillips. These boys were her world. She loved spending quality time with her boys, family and friends. She loved watching movies and listening to music.

    She is preceded in death by both her father, James Fridel and son, Cade Phillips.

    Left to cherish her memories, her mother, Sherry Fridel; son, Cameron Phillips; brothers, Richard Fridel and his wife, Kelley, Wesley Muth, and Shane Muth and his wife, Kimberly; sister, Pamela Cantu and her husband Ernest; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

    Obituary:

    James "Jimmy" Fridel, 69, of Millican passed away Tuesday, January 17th at Scott and White Healthcare in Temple, Texas. Visitation with family and friends will be held from 5:00 - 7:00pm, Friday, January 20th at Nobles Funeral Chapel. A celebration of his life will be at 11:00am, Saturday, January 21st, also at the funeral home. Rev. Glen Whitmire will officiate. Interment will follow at Wheat Cemetery in Millican.

    Jimmy was born May 16, 1947 in Bryan, Texas to Albin and Albina Fridel. In 1972 he married Sherry Ryder. He worked as a truck driver most of his life and provided well for his family of five children. He had a beautiful voice and was also very well known as a Christian Gospel singer for his church. He never met a stranger and always saw the good in people, never judging anyone by their past. He was a very strong "healer/helper" personality and his arms were always open. His contagious smile made any bad day a bit more bearable.

    Jimmy loved scratch-off lottery tickets, particularly during his brief illness when his family would visit, bringing several to keep him occupied.

    He is survived by his wife, Sherry of Millican, daughters and son-in-law Pam and Ernest Cantu of Millican and Kim Fridel of College Station; sons and daughter-in-law Wesley Muth, Richard Fridel and Shane and Kim Muth, all of Millican; sisters Patsy Olexey, Linda Olexey, and Ruth Fridel, all of Bryan, and Louann Fridel of Houston; brothers and sisters-in-law Johnn and Judy Olexey, Kenneth and Debbie Olexey, Billy Olexey, Bobby Olexey, Mike Olexey and Paul David Olexey, all of Bryan; grandchildren Roland, Chris, E. J. , Trent, Donny, Jamee, Eran, Stephanie, Reese, Amanda, Chelsey, Kasey, Kourtney, Cameron and Cade; and great-grandchildren Chris and Braden.

    Serving as pallbearers are Mike Fridel and Trent Muth, both of Bryan; Devin Flores and Bo Meece, both of Navasota and Shane Muth and E. J. Cantu, both of Millican.
    Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Louis Fridel, Bill Fridel, and Richard Olexey; sister Lottie May Olexey and sister-in-law Terry Olexey.

    Memorial service for Arthur Lyvon Ryder, 53, of 205 Mae Drive, Marshall, were held at 4 p.m. Tuesday in Colonial Chapel of Sullivan Funeral Home with the Rev. Melvin Welch officiating.

    Mr. Ryder died Monday, Oct. 10, 1983, in Memorial Hospital after a long illness.

    The son of Walter Arthur Ryder and Ruby Ester Jordan, he was born Jan. 1, 1930, in Gilliland He attended Gilliland public schools and married Jaynece Yvonne Hoehn on Sept. 2, 1970, in Dallas. He was a construction superintendent for the city of McKinney until his retirement in 1981. He previously worked for L.B. Construction Co. of Conroe. Mr. Ryder was a Presbyterian and had served in the U.S. Navy, U.S. Marines and U.S. Army.

    Survivors include his wife of Marshall; one son, Walter Vaughn Ryder of Navasota; two daughters, Sherry Ann Fridel of Navasota and Yvonne Faye Ryder of Marshall; his mother of Harlingen; two sisters, Patsy Ruth Stephens of The Dalles, Ore., and Christine Patheal of Marshall; two brothers, James Leon Ryder of Marshall and Bobby Clyde Ryder of The Dalles, ore.; and six grandchildren.

    NAVASOTA - Services for Vera Fannett Carr, 74, of Willis are set for 2 p.m. Sunday at Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota.

    The Rev. O.L. Powell of Greater Christian Life will officiate. Burial will be in Wheat Cemetery in Millican.

    Mrs. Carr died Thursday in Conroe.

    She was born in Peach Creek and was a member of Greater Christian Life. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary.

    Survivors include her husband, William B. Carr Jr. of Willis; two sons, Walter Ryder and William Darrell Carr, both of Willis; a daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Jimmy Fridel of Millican; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Andy and Mary Fannett and Ben and Fleeta Fannett, all of Jacksonville; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Marie Fazzino of Millican, Kay and Bill Easterling of Bryan, Billie Jo and Autrey Dixon of Navasota and Elaine and Clint Trncak of Tyler; a grandchild; and a great-grandchild.
