    Gus F. White, age 76, of Austin, died Sunday.

    He was born in Paris, Texas, February 9, 1911.

    He received his B.A. from Texas Technological University in Lubbock, Texas, and masters degree from the University of Texas at Austin. He had worked as a civil service investigator for the federal government prior to and during part of World War II in Boston, New York City, St. Louis, and Houston. He had been associated with the Boy Scouts of America for several years, also the state health department. He was past executive secretary of the Texas Society of Professional Engineers. When he retired, he was a community service specialist for O.E.O. of the federal government.

    Survivors include his son, Houston White, Austin; grandsons, Luke, Levon, and Waylon of Austin, and Zeke of Roswell, New Mexico.

    Memorial services, 1:00 PM, Friday, Austin Church of Religious Science, 1000 Peyton Gin Road, with the Reverend Rainbow Johnson officiating.
