    Obituary:

Anna Joyce Hebert, age 75, passed away on Thursday November 9, 2017. Anna was born August 5, 1942 in Eunice, Louisiana to the late Louis and Edith Smith. Anna married the love of her life, Captain Eddie Hebert Jr., and together they had 42 years of love and laughter as they raised their 2 children.

Anna loved to cook and had a mess of recipes that she shared with family and friends alike. A special favorite were her little pecan pies at Christmas. Anna traveled with Eddie whenever she could as his life as a Captain took them to many, many places and the beach was a love for them both. Reading was a passion and she had her favorites, and often was turning a page in between her phone calls to family and friends as the latest baseball game played on the TV in the background. Her cell phone was an extension of her hand, always ready to comfort or advise. Anna had a deep love of family; a true matriarch she loved and was loved deeply in return.

Anna is predeceased by her husband, Captain Eddie Hebert Jr. and her parents, Lewis and Edith Smith; siblings, Winston Smith, Ivan Smith, Jim Smith, Paul Smith and Ethel Smith Bertrand.

She is survived by her son, Eddie Hebert III ?Davy? and his wife, Katherine; daughter, Angela Hebert McCain and husband, Lucas; grandchildren, Jacob Hebert, Matthew Hebert, Jobe Hebert, Tanya Billedeaux-White and Greg Billedeaux and 5 great grandchildren; siblings, John Smith and wife, Joy, Rena Soileau and husband, Jim, Grace Sonnier and Jean Fuselier; niece, Shelly Smith; God-son, Mitch Soileau, and many extended family and friends. She will be forever loved and deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to have her in their lives. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff and residents at Brookdale who always had a kind word and helpful heart. Visitation to be held Sunday, November 12, 2017 from 4:00 - 8:00pm with Acts rosary at 6:00 at Hixson Funeral Home, Lake Charles, resuming Monday, November 13, 2017 at 8am until Mass of Christian Burial at Christ the King Catholic Church at 10am.
