R.D. Rogers, 75 of Madisonville died Monday, June 2, 2008 in Madisonville. Funeral services are set for 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at Willowhole Chapel in North Zulch. Dwayne Word will officiate. Burial will follow in Willowhole Cemetery. Visitation is set for Tuesday at Day Funeral Home Chapel from 5-7 PM.

Mr. Rogers was born February 27, 1933 to Robert Rogers and Glaydon (Whitworth) Rogers in Arkansas.

R.D. was preceded in death by his wife, Jimmie (Jeffries) Rogers; his parents; brother-in-laws, Joe Howard and Eddie Davis; and sister Bobbie Ann Tollan.

Survivors include his grandchildren, Mallorie and Natalie; sisters Betty Howard of Madisonville, Odetta Davis of Arkansas, Mary Beth Stewart and husband, Charles of Arkansas; brothers, John W. Rogers and wife, JoElla of Arkansas, L.J. Rogers and wife, Cristen of Louisiana and Nathan Rogers and wife, Carleen of Arkansas; and sister-in-law, Betty Henderson of North Zulch.

Jimmie Alice Rogers, 60, of North Zulch died Thursday, June 01, 2006 at her home. Funeral services are set for 2 P.M. Sunday at the Willowhole Chapel. Rev. Don Somanski will officiate. The family will receive visitors 5-7 PM Saturday Day Funeral Home Chapel.

Mrs. Rogers was born February 19, 1946 in Madisonville to Otha and Ruby (Adams) Jeffries. She married R.D. Rogers September 11, 1964 and was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, R.D. Rogers of North Zulch; son, Jody Rogers of North Zulch; sister, Betty Henderson of North Zulch; granddaughters, Mallorie and Natalie Rogers; nephew and niece, Billy and Karen Henderson of North Zulch as well as other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services are under the direction of Day Funeral Home.

Ruby P. Jeffries

MADISONVILLE - Services for Ruby P. Jeffries, 82, of North Zulch will be 2 p.m. today at Willowhole Chapel, near North Zulch.

The Rev. Glenn Connor will officiate.

Burial will be at Willowhole Cemetery.

Mrs. Jeffries was born in Madison County.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Otha Jeffries.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-laws, Jimmie and Robert Rogers and Betty and Harvey Henderson, all of North Zulch; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Joyce and Gene Arensberg of Pearland and Jackie Adams of Houston; and two grandchildren.

J. P. Adams Funeral To Be Wednesday

James Prescott Adams, 77 year-old retired Madison County rancher, died Monday morning at his Bryan residence, 506 W. 27th Street.

Adams, who retired and moved to Bryan in 1940, was born Sept. 7, 1883, in North Zulch. Funeral services are slated for 2 PM Wednesday at Willow Hole Baptist Church in Madison County with the Rev. Van Sickle of North Zulch officiating. Burial will be in Willow Hole Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Dona Adams of Bryan; three sons, Herbert of Bryan; James A. of Mississippi and John Q. of Houston; five daughters, Mrs. Royce Lewis of Lubbock, Mrs. Eugene Arensberg of Houston, Mrs. Robert Speckman of Houston, Mrs. Henry Khron of North Zulch and Mrs. Otha Jefferies, also of North Zulch; three sisters, Mrs. Sam Sanders and Mrs. A. W. Folson of North Zulch and Miss Dolly Adams of Hearne.

Callaway-Jones Funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
