    McMillan, OK - Josie Marion Crow, 91, of Madill, Okla. passed away Monday, Feb. 2, 2009 in the Brookside Nursing Center in Madill. Josie was born on Feb. 13, 1917 in McMillan, Okla. to the late Samuel Stout and Hattie Pickens Stout. She was the daughter of the Shawi Clan of Chickasaw. She was raised in McMillan and later moved to Kansas where she graduated from Chiloco High School. Josie moved back to the McMillan area where she lived the rest of her life. She married Paul Lee Crow. He preceded her in death on July 8, 1970. Josie worked at the Madill Pants Factory for several years. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting and playing dominoes.

    Josie is survived by her children Lavoyd Crow and wife Emogene, Denton, Texas and Sam Crow and wife Linda, Hurst, Texas; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and sister Pauline Watson, Ardmore, Okla. Josie was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sisters and one brother.

    Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. tonight at Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Okla.

    Funeral services will be Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009, at 2 p.m. at the McMillan Cemetery, McMillan, Okla. Lyndol Adams will officiate the services. Music arranged by Chickasaw Singers. Services under the direction of Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Okla. Condolences may be sent to wattsfuneralhome.com.

    MADILL (Special) - Funeral services for Benjamine Franklin Crow were held Thursday from watts Memorial Chapel. Rev. Leonard Nail of Lebanon was in charge.

    Crow was born in Bell County, Texas; on April 27, 1889 and moved to this county in 1900. He was married to Miss Cora McCoy on Aug. 6, 1912 at Liberty, Okla. and they were to make their home at Lebanon and McMillan from that time to the present. Mrs. Crow preceded her husband in death on Jan. 3, 1965.

    He was a farmer for most of his adult life but had been in ill health for the past several years. He died at his home in Lebanon Sunday evening.

    Survivors include his two sons, Paul Crow, McMillian and Joe Crow, Richland, Washington; a foster daughter, Mrs. Opal Huff, Dallas; seven grandchildren; a brother, Charlie Crow, Pasco, Wash.; and two sisters, Pearl Shelton, Dibble, Okla. and Ila Wikert, Dallas.

    Burial under direction of Watts Funeral Home was in McMillan Cemetery with Truman Cobb, Omer Eppler, Earl Orr, Earl Kelley, Ruben Williford and Dick Smith as bearers.

    James M. Crow Claimed by Death

    Brief Illness Fatal to 82-Year-Old Man

    James Mackelroy Crow died at his home near McMillan January 3 following a brief illness. Final services for the 82-year-old farmer, who had lived in Marshall county since 1910, were held at the Watts Chapel at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon with L. E. Carpenter, minister, conducting.

    Mr. Crow is survived by his wife, Mrs. Emma Crow, and four children, Frank Crow, McMillan; Charlie Crow, Oakland; Mrs. Pearl Shelton, Purcell, and Mrs. Iola Kubik, Cedar Rapides, Iowa. Seventeen grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and one brother also survive.

    Burial was at McMillan cemetery with Watts Funeral Home in charge.

    Emma E. Crow Is Claimed by Death

    Wife Dies Only 36 Days After Husband

    Emma Eudora Crow died at the home of her son, Charlie, in Oakland Friday - only 36 days after the death of her husband, James, on January 3.

    Mrs. Crow was 79 at death and had made her home in Marshall county since 1911. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

    Immediate survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Pearl Shelton, Purcell, and Mrs. Ila Ann Kubik, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; two sons, Charlie, Oakland, and Frank, McMillan; 17 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one brother.

    Services were held at the Watts Chapel at 2 Saturday with L. E. Carpenter, minister, conducting.

    Burial was at McMillan with the Watts Funeral home in charge.
