    Elzie Leon Shelton passed away on Friday, December 15, 2017 at his home in Chickasha, OK at the age of 94. He was born June 1, 1923 in Madill, Oklahoma to Bert Leonard and Willie Pearl (Crow) Shelton.

    He served in the United States Army during World War II. He married Hilda Paulina Ochoa in 1949 in California. They moved to Chickasha in January of 1961 and he worked for Maramont as a custodian.

    Elzie is preceded in death by his wife, Hilda Shelton On October 1, 2016; his parents and a grandson, Donovan Nix.

    Son, Leonard Leon Shelton and his wife, Deborah, of Noble, OK;

    6 Grandchildren: Gayla, Jennifer, Christopher, Susanna, Sherry and Casey;

    14 Great Grandchildren: Blake and his wife, Trinity; Danielle, Stacy, Mary Louise, Cheranna, Jadon, Jurni, Jewell, Kai, Starrie, Breadon, Bryson, Keyles and Airyona.

    Hilda Paulina Shelton was born January 26, 1929 in West Covina, California to Angelo and Clara (Ruelas) Ochoa. She passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2016 in Chickasha, Oklahoma at the age of 87.

    Hilda married Elzie Leon Shelton in 1949 in California. They moved to Chickasha in February of 1961 from California. She worked at Pet Food, Inc. from August of 1976 to January of 1994.

    She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, 4 sisters and a grandson, Donovan Nix.

    Hilda is survived by her husband, Elzie Shelton of Chickasha, OK;

    A son, Leonard Leon Shelton and his wife, Deborah, of Noble, OK;

    Funeral services for B. L. Shelton, 69, Dibble, will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the Free Will Baptist Church.

    Shelton died Tuesday evening in McCurday Hospital, Purcell.

    He was born July 26, 1893, in Marlow and moved to Dibble in 1920. A World War I veteran, he was a farmer-stockman most of his life until his retirement 15 years ago.

    Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Pearl Shelton, of the home address; three sons, E. L. Shelton, Chickasha; Junior Shelton, Norman, and Bobby Shelton of the home; two grandchildren; five brothers, Rube Shelton and Bunn Shelton of Edmond, and Odde Shelton, Claude Shelton and Leonard Shelton all of Lebanon; two sisters, Mrs. Johnnie Hall, Oklahoma City and Mrs. Beacher Shrader, Healdton.

    Interment will be in the Dibble cemetery under direction of Sevier's Funeral Home.

    James M. Crow Claimed by Death

    Brief Illness Fatal to 82-Year-Old Man

    James Mackelroy Crow died at his home near McMillan January 3 following a brief illness. Final services for the 82-year-old farmer, who had lived in Marshall county since 1910, were held at the Watts Chapel at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon with L. E. Carpenter, minister, conducting.

    Mr. Crow is survived by his wife, Mrs. Emma Crow, and four children, Frank Crow, McMillan; Charlie Crow, Oakland; Mrs. Pearl Shelton, Purcell, and Mrs. Iola Kubik, Cedar Rapides, Iowa. Seventeen grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and one brother also survive.

    Burial was at McMillan cemetery with Watts Funeral Home in charge.

    Emma E. Crow Is Claimed by Death

    Wife Dies Only 36 Days After Husband

    Emma Eudora Crow died at the home of her son, Charlie, in Oakland Friday - only 36 days after the death of her husband, James, on January 3.

    Mrs. Crow was 79 at death and had made her home in Marshall county since 1911. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

    Immediate survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Pearl Shelton, Purcell, and Mrs. Ila Ann Kubik, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; two sons, Charlie, Oakland, and Frank, McMillan; 17 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one brother.

    Services were held at the Watts Chapel at 2 Saturday with L. E. Carpenter, minister, conducting.

    Burial was at McMillan with the Watts Funeral home in charge.
