Jeffery Franklin Beck, the son of the late Charles Beck and Brenda Gattis Burress, was born Monday, August 18, 1969 in Kennett, Missouri.

Mr. Beck died Monday, July 1, 2019 at his home in Kennett at the age of 49 years, 10 months and 14 days.

He is survived by 1 daughter Amber Caitlyn Bryant and husband Josh of Brookland, Arkansas; his mother Brenda Burress and husband Winfred of White Oak, Missouri; 5 brothers Craig Allen Beck and wife Janet of Nimmons, Arkansas, Roger Leamon Beck and wife Lesa of Piggott, Arkansas, Tommy Linanand wife Mary Kay of Piggott, Tommy Burress of Holcomb, Missouri and Wayne Burress and wife Tanya of Piedmont, Missouri; 2 sisters Dedra Settlemoir and husband Brian of Paragould, Arkansas and Cheryl Gookin and husband Mike of Piggott; step-mother Reba Beck of Nimmons, Arkansas and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death his father Charles Beck.

Charles "Charlie" Leamon Beck, 68, of Nimmons, Arkansas, passed away January 5, 2016, at the Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott, Arkansas.

He was born on November 18, 1947, in Nimmons, Arkansas, and was the son of the late Carl and Violet Beatrice Morris Beck.

He was united in marriage to Rita "Reba" Banks on January 2, 1979.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Wesley Beck and Carl Beck, Jr.; sister, Duanita Mauldin; and nephew, Stephen Mauldin

Survivors include his wife, Reba of Nimmons, Arkansas; children: Roger and Lesa Beck of Piggott, Arkansas, Jeffrey Beck of Kennett, Missouri, Craig and Janet Beck of Nimmons, Arkansas, Tommy and Mary Kay Linam of Rector, Arkansas, Dedra and Brian Settlemoir of Paragould, Arkansas, and Cheryl and Mike Gookin of Piggott, Arkansas; grandchildren: Rocky Beck, Kasey Banning, Corbin Chase, Brittany N. Johnson, Amber Beck, Austin Beck, John Daniel Beck, Nathan Gookin, Augusta Ward, Reegan Mayberry, Kenny Linam, Savannah Beck, Kaitlyn Settlemoir, Kase Gookin, Desirree Linam; great-grandchildren: Braxton, Alyssa, and Gertrude Chase, Devin and Aubrey Beck, and Graceyn Banning; his twin sister: Charlene Beck of Topeka, Kansas; sisters: Bonnie Raney of Beebe, Arkansas, Diane Thomas of Topeka, Kansas, Faye Hendley of Bryan, Texas, Anna Williamson of Wappapello, Missouri, Paula Dailey of Leachville, Arkansas, Carlotta Morrison of Dallas, Texas; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 8, 2016, at the Hoggard & Sons Chapel. Burial is in Nimmons Cemetery in Nimmons, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Rocky Beck, Corbin Chase, Austin Beck, John Daniel Beck, Nathan Gookin, and Reegan Mayberry. Honorary pallbearers are Calvin Merrrell, Jr. Hurst, J.W. Taylor, and Hubert Robinson. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Elaine Gattis aged 86 of Nimmons died Thursday April 6th in the Piggott Hospital.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Denzie Ray Gattis and Franklin Gattis, both of Nimmons, and Raymond Gattis of St. Louis; seven daughters, Mrs. Oma Banks of Marble Hill, Mo., Mrs. Patricia Ellis of St. Louis., Mrs. Dorothy Owens, Mrs. Polly Owens and Miss Brenda Gattis, all of Nimmons, Mrs. Fay Simmons of East Alton, Ill., and Mrs. Jo Ann Sterns of Kennett, Mo., 24 Grandchildren and nine Great grandchildren. Funeral was Sunday at Nimmons Church of Christ by Rev. Albert Lemmons.

Burial was at Nimmons Cemetery by Russell Funeral Service.

Elaine married Eva Lena Crow 16 Nov 1918, Nimmons, Clay County, Arkansas, USA. Lena Gattis, the daughter of the late John and Millie Crow, was born Jan. 26, 1903, at Piggott and died July 5, 1987, at Piggott at the age of 84 years.

She was united in marriage to Elaine Gattis in 1917. To this union four sons and eight daughters were born.

She was preceded in death by her husband; three sons, Denzil Ray, Raymond and Alvin Gattis, and one brother, John Henry Crow.

She is survived by one son, Franklin D. Gattis of Dallas, Tex.; eight daughters, Oma Barks of Jackson, Miss., Polly Owen, Dorothy Owens, Brenda Burress and Fanny Gattis, all of Nimmons, Joe Ann Paris of Rector, Faye Simmons of Bunker Hill, Mo., and Pallie Ellis of St. Louis; one sister, Mary Jerke of Greenway; 36 grandchildren; 71 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Nimmons Church of Christ.

Funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 7, at the Nimmons Church of Christ with Gail Benson officiating. Burial was in Nimmons Cemetery. Pallbearers were Russell Gattis, Franklin Gattis, Michael Donaldson, Roger Beck, Virgil Owen, and Donald Stahl.

Piggott Mortuary was in charge of the arrangements.
