    Dayman Cleo Whittenburg "Arkie," 77, passed away Friday, April 15, 2011, at a Fort Worth hospital. Graveside service: 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Woodland Park Cemetery, Pastor Paul Harris officiating. He was born Aug. 13, 1933, in La Rue, Ark.

    Dayman Cleo Whittenburg (Arkie), 77, died April 15, 2011, in a Fort Worth hospital.

    Graveside service is 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, at Woodland Park Cemetery with Pastor Paul Harris.

    He was born Aug. 13, 1933, in La Rue, Ark., the son of John Elgin and Mary Myrtle Garner Whittenburg. He married his first wife, Mary Ruth Hunt, in 1973. He married his second wife, Lola Mae Davis, on June 19, 1974. He was a member of 11th Avenue Church. He worked at the old state park (Lions Park), the Baker Hotel, Can-Tex for 32 years, and US Brick. He was a member of several organizations and clay unions over the years.

    He is survived by his children and spouses, Jerry and Brenda Whitenburg, of Mineral Wells, Joe and Vonda Whitenburg, of Mineral Wells, Dayman (D.C.) and Pearl Whittenburg, of Mineral Wells, and Roy and Mitiz Whittenburg of York, Pa., five grandchildren of Mineral Wells, two grandchildren of York, and eight great-grandchildren of Mineral Wells; sisters, Helma Dobbs and Lillie Boshears, both of Arkansas; half sisters, Helen Sharp and Opal Smith, both of Arkansas; half brother, David Whittenburg, of Arkansas; and sister-in-law, Bea Whittenburg ,of Gainesville, Fla.

    He was preceded in death by his parents; step-mother, Estaleen Whittenburg; sister, Evelyn Whittenburg; brothers, Roy, Ray, Dee, Delbert and Howard Whittenburg; wife, Lola Mae Davis; and one grandchild.

    Dayman married Lola Mae Davis 19 Jul 1974, Mineral Wells, Palo Pinto County, Texas, USA. Lola (daughter of Richard Hunter Davis, Sr. and Ella Mae Johnston) was born 2 Dec 1924, Bryan, Brazos County, Texas, USA; died 11 Aug 2000, Mineral Wells, Palo Pinto County, Texas, USA; was buried 14 Aug 2000, Woodland Park Cemetery - Mineral Wells, Texas, USA.
