    Obituary:

WALKER, JOHN RANDALL, 86, died Wednesday, December 19, 2007. He was at home and died peacefully in his sleep while surrounded by his loving family. John, a third generation Floridian, was born in Miami in 1921. He served his country with pride and humility as a Technical Sergeant in the Aleutian Islands during World War II. He worked tirelessly for Graybar Electric Company from 1952 to 1984, but always made time with his family, the centerpiece of his life. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Margaret Ann, his daughters Janet Parker, Merrilee Walker, Kathleen Glickman, and Susan Barrows; his sons-in-law Larry, Raymond, Tommy; his six grandchildren Chahine, her spouse Jere, Jacob, Eric, Kristen, Brian, and Rachel; and his four great-grandchildren Sierra, Reed, Alexander, and Cody. John was an avid gardener and golfer, a superb cook, and an amateur painter who prided himself on being active and involved with those around him. He celebrated his devotion and love for his family with everything he did, from camping trips and home- cooked meals to his yearly role as Santa Claus. His honesty and integrity made him our teacher and inspiration; his warmth, humor, and boyish grin made him our joy. He gave his love and trust without reservation and inspired love and trust in all those who knew him. In accordance with his wishes, his family will spread his ashes "over God's green earth" and gather to honor his memory. He will be missed. Obituary:

Walker, Margaret Ann affectionately known as "Mickey" to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 28, 2012. Margaret was born on March 4, 1923 in Greeley, Colorado, the youngest of seven siblings. While living in Southern California, she met the love of her life, active duty solider John Randall Walker. They were married on March 7, 1944, just before John's deployment to the North Pacific. After her husband's return from WWII, Margaret and John moved back to John's hometown of Miami, Florida, where they lived happily for over 50 years. In her later years, Margaret moved with her husband to Boca Raton, Florida, until John passed away in 2007. She is survived by her four daughters, Janet Parker, Merrilee Walker, Kathleen Glickman, and Susan Barrows; her three sons-in law, Tommy, Larry, and Raymond; her six grandchildren, Chahine, her spouse Jere, Jacob, Eric, Kristen, Brian, his spouse Jillian, and Rachel; and her four great-grandchildren, Sierra, Reed, Alexander, and Cody. Margaret lived a life filled with love, kindness, and giving. She was active in her dedication to charity, serving selflessly for the March of Dimes, the Red Cross, the Girl Scouts, her church, and numerous heart fund drives. She volunteered for everything, and anything. Margaret also knew how to love unconditionally, and she gave of herself to everyone around her: she was the open door and a loving shoulder to friends, neighbors, and anyone in need. Margaret not only knew how to love, but she also knew how to show it. She knew, and she taught to all of us, the importance and simple, sweet pleasure of spending time together. She began our tradition of summer camping trips and monthly birthday parties. She always brought us together, she always made sure we spent time with those we loved, and that we let each other know just how much we loved each other. For Margaret, time spent together, in and around family, was at the heart of who she was. And she made it at the heart of who we all are today, and who we will be in the future. We are, all of us, so grateful. We will miss her.

    PROMINENT CITIZEN OF TITUSVILLE DIES

    -------

John R. Walker, Father of George Walker of This City Is Claimed By Death

    -------

TITUSVILLE, Aug. 5 - Funeral services for John R. Walker, president of the local civic league, and one of the most prominent citizens of Brevard county, who died suddenly Thursday night, will be held here Sunday afternoon. Mr. Walker, who was 58 years old, had held numerous municipal and county offices since coming here from South Carolina 34 years ago.

He had served as county school superintendent, chairman of the board of county commissioners, and mayor of Titusville Beach Company. He had presided at a meeting of the Civic League Thursday night and jocularly complained of the heat but appeared in his usual good health. He died a few minutes after returning home from the meeting. Death was caused by the bursting of a blood vessel near the heart.

Mr. Walker, who was prominent in various fraternal organizations, is survived by his wife, formerly Miss Hester Elizabeth Swain of Titusville, three sons and a daughter.

    -------

    Son in Miami

George Walker of Miami is a son of the deceased, and another son, Charles Walker, is residing in Boston, Mass. Mr. Walker was well known in Florida as the "father of the league" which was organized to build a bridge across the Indian river, connecting Titusville with the ocean, and to build a road to Orlando and another to Orsino on Merritt Island. The people ratified Mr. Walker's idea at the polls, voting the bods for the proposed improvements, and it is a marked coincidence that on the day of his death the Brevard county commissioners let the contract for the bridge and roads which he conceived.
