    Jeptha Weldon Dennis, Jr., 75, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2006. Graveside services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at Andersonville National Cemetery with full military honors.

    Mr. Dennis was born on March 22, 1930 in Montgomery, Alabama. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and had lived in Warner Robins since 1988. He served thirty years in the United States Air Force before working for Rockwell-Boeing for ten years. He was a graduated of Auburn University in 1952 and was a member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity. His parents, Jeptha and Mariann Dennis, preceded him in death.

    Survivors include his wife, Margaret Dennis, Warner Robins; daughters, Margaret J. Dennis, Atlanta; Leigh Ann Manning (J.R.), Huntsville, Alabama; grandchildren, Meg Manning, Trey Manning; brother, William Lee Dennis (Bettye Brackeen), Decatur, Alabama; two nephews and 1 niece.

    AUBURN PHYSICIAN DIES

    AUBURN, Ala., Feb. 20 - Dr. Jeptha Weldon Dennis Sr., 54, Auburn physician, died Thursday in an Atlanta, Ga., hospital.

    Dr. Dennis had practiced medicine in Montgomery for 10 years and had been API college physician for four years. He was a member of the Lee County Medical Assn.

    Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Auburn Methodist Church.

    Surviving are the widow, Mrs. J. W. Dennis Sr., Auburn; two sons, Lt. J. W. Dennis Jr., Finland, Minn., William L. Dennis, Decatur; a sister, Mrs. H. W. Hawkins, Montgomery; a brother, Clarence H. Dennis, Montgomery and three grandchildren.

    Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Marianna S. Dennis, 95, of Auburn will be held on Tuesday, January 13, 2004 at 2:00 pm at Auburn Memorial Park. Dr. George Mathison will officiate.

    Visitation will be 12:30 till 1:30pm on Tuesday at Frederick's Funeral Home.

    Mrs. Dennis was born May 6, 1908 in Atlanta, GA, to the late Lee O. and Mary Moore Swain. She retired from Auburn University School of Veterinary Medicine. She is preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Dennis, MD.

    Survivors include two sons, Bill (Bettye) Dennis, Decatur, AL and Jeptha (Joan) Dennis of Warner Robins, GA; five grandchildren; Lee (Leona) Dennis, Decatur; Richard (Elizabeth "Liz") Dennis, Orlando, FL; Anna (Greg) Solomon, Tuscaloosa, AL; Leigh Ann (Chip) Manning, Huntsville, AL; Jaye Dennis, Atlanta, GA. Nine great-grandchildren, Marianna Dennis, West Palm Beach, FL; Will Dennis, Decatur, Al; Alex Dennis, Faith Dennis and Jordan Dennis all of Orlando, FL; Clark Solomon and Leigh Anna Solomon, both of Tuscaloosa, AL; Meg Manning and Trey Manning, both of Huntsville, Al. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Auburn United Methodist Church, in her memory.

    Frederick's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
