    Obituary:

    ANDREWS - Services for Helen Ford Gross, 82, of Andrews will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Second Baptist Church in Andrews with the Rev. Ivy Shelton officiating. Burial will be in Andrews Old Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home of Andrews.

    She died Thursday, Sept. 19, 2002.

    She was born June 17, 1920, in Bossier City, La. She married George Edwin Ford on Sept. 23, 1937. He died Aug. 19, 1967. She married James B. Gross on July 25, 1968, in Anchorage, Alaska. She was a secretary for the Andrews Independent School District for 17 years, retiring in 1965. She was a member of Second Baptist Church and a former member of Eastern Star.

    She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Gary Ford Huddleston, on April 19, 1990.

    Survivors include her husband; two stepsons, Don of Crane and Dale of Andrews; a brother, Jerry Works of Texarkana; eight sisters, Lorraine Saint, June Freeman, Thelma Coker, Louise Baumberger and Shirley Canon, all of Texarkana, Ruby "Sis" Morgason of Kansas City, Mo., and Ann Morgan and Dorothy Hodge, both of Idaho City, Idaho; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

    Helen married James Bailey Gross 25 Jul 1968, Anchorage, Anchorage County, Alaska, USA. James (son of Buman Johnson Gross and Claudia Irene Bryant) was born 1 Feb 1924, Paducah, Cottle County, Texas, USA; died 30 May 2008, Big Spring, Howard County, Texas, USA; was buried 2 Jun 2008, Andrews County Cemetery - Andrews, Texas, USA.
