- Obituary:
Rachel "Renee" Ellzey of Westlake, LA passed away Tuesday September 12, 2017 at the age of 60, in the comfort of her home, now at complete peace with her Heavenly Father and loving husband.
Rachel was a loving and caring Christian who enjoyed spending time with her dogs and loved ones. She was a loving wife, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and friend, who will be greatly missed.
Those left to cherish her memories are her mother-in-law, Virgie Stokes and Father-in- law Billy; son, Tommy Ray McBride; daughters, Tabatha Rachel Newman, Tanya Renee McBride and Brenda Kay McBride; step sons, Jeremy Ellzey and Robbie Ellzey; step daughter, Lori Roach. Renee will also be deeply missed by her 23 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Rachel also leaves behind 4 sisters, Crystal Barrass, Jamie Parker, Krista Guillory, Connie Parker; brothers, Howard Parker and Hardy Parker; sister-in-law Shonda Applebee; sister in law Michelle Stokes; brother in law Ricky Stokes, Cody Stokes and Boyd Stokes. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and her sister.
Visitation will be held at Hixson Funeral Home of Westlake on Sunday September 17, 2017 from the hours of 4pm until 8pm, and will resume at 9am on Monday September 18, 2017. Funeral Service will be at 10am on Monday. Burial will follow at Westlake Memorial cemetery. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com
